Simply Outstanding

My wife tells me I'm overly critical about "her" coffees. She says I'm an "espresso snob" as that's normally all I drink. She says this because I am completely absorbed in the hobby (i.e., passion) of brewing my own from our professional grade espresso machine that I imported from Italy. I counter that the espresso snob label doesn't entirely fit, as I will from time to time have a pod-cup out of her Keurig brewer. (Truth be told, the extreme ease of getting a quick caffeine fix from her brewer compared to the time-consuming process of drawing a cup of espresso from my machine is quite compelling at times.) While some of the cups I've sampled are indeed pleasing, none that I've yet tried are quite in the same class as this one. My first cup caught me completely by surprise. It gracefully treads that fine line between smoky and dark. The teeter-tottering that it does in this realm creates a great deal of interest for the senses. The flavor notes are superb and moderately complex. All in all, it makes for a very satisfying cup. All that said, I do have to say that this coffee is a bit "picky" about the water and brew cycle used to make it. (As a quality coffee, this is to be expected.) I've found that it's always best to start with fresh, cold, filtered water. And, like my espresso machine, I've found that if our Keurig Platinum brewer has been on and sitting idle for awhile (like, overnight) that it is best to pull a blank shot (i.e., run a cup of water with no pod in the slot) before brewing the first cup.
I've been drinking this coffee for years. I keep trying others, but last week I decided not to even bother trying any others. This is the only coffee that is strong enough for me -- on the big-size cup!
Pros: Not Bitter, Strong
Cons: none

Best Way to Start Your Day

I switch between this their Columbia Roast and their Italian Roast each day. As of now these are the only coffees I make at home. I have tried many and by far in my opinion these are consistently the best. The House Blend is close.
I enjoy and keep on hand a variety of coffee. To this day, none are more pleasing to me or the flavor more consistently the same cup after cup. Strong coffee can easily be considered bitter or unpleasant but to my taste, strong is good and this is the best.
This coffee is amazing. Barista Prima is the best brand I have found thus far, and I have tried many. French, Italian, and House by Barista Prima are all delicious in their own way. A+++++
Keep it up!

Best dark bold coffe I've ever found

This is the first K-cup I've found that I can brew on the large cup setting and not get a watered-down cup- it stays strong and powerful even full sized. It's strong but not bitter, it's what many would consder a "real" cup of coffee. I've had many good ones from GMC and Keurig, but this is the best. I shared a cup my brother in law, who owns a business/office, and after the first few sips (and his "wow, what kind is this?") he began to stock Barista Prima french roast in his office (you're welcome, Green Mountain). If you like Dark Magic and similar, you'll love this and probably won't go back! Give it a whirl!
Pros: Can Brew Large Size, Not Bitter, Powerful, Dark, Strong

Has rich flavor - like a dark roast coffee should taste.
