Lives up to the description

When I was younger, I drank a lot of French Roast but have got away from dark roasts in recent years because they tend to just taste like ash. This one, however, lives up to the description of being "sweet and smoky" that was listed on the sample box. It has a nice, complex flavor that's both dark and a little sweet. I'll definitely be buying this one.
Pros: Not Bitter, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Smooth Taste, Exceptional/Interesting Flavor, Pleasing Roast

Great aromatic and flavorful coffee

I like good, strong cups of coffee that not only taste good but also have a pleasing aroma. This one really hit the mark for me so I will be getting it again.

My DH got to this one before I did when the sample pack came. He loves his coffee strong and had not been a huge fan of the other varieties I've gotten. I give this one 5 stars based on his response. He was very impressed with this one.

exquisite dark roast

This french roast had an amazing start. Full bodied with sweet undertones. Perfectly dark. I love a great dark roast. It had good flavor in the mouth. Rich. The finish was a little bitter/acidic but the darker roasts tend to be.

Least favorite, bitter.

Was excited to try this and was "bitterly" disappointed. French Roast is actually a favorite, and I could just not get rid of the heavy feeling it left on my tongue.
Pros: Pleasing Aroma
Cons: Unpleasant Flavor, Extremely bitter and sour, Unbalanced Or Sharp Acidity
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
