Weak for a French Roast...

Too much water? I brewed the Barista Prima - French Roast on the 8 ounce setting and found it weak. I would like to try another sample at the 6 ounce setting and see if I am still wanting. Most of the French Roasts I have tried to date are full bodied and strong. I was dissapointed and wish I had used a lower setting to confirm if it was my error or the coffee... Thank you for the gift pack of samples.
Pros: Not Bitter
Cons: Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body, Unappealing Or Flat Aroma
I typically drink french roast coffee. This one inthe BaristaPrima was very good, but not quite as good as what I'm used to (Tulleys). It had a slight aftertaste. In the BaristaPrima brand, I preferred the Italian Roast over the French Roast.
I love this coffee. It is the darkest roast in this line. I typically do not go for such full bodied flavors, but this one is smooth and great tasting. No nasty aftertaste.
This coffee truly tastes like a barista was in my kitchen making coffee! I have never found anything that has tasted as good as my favorite coffee house until now . Thanks for the free samples Barista Prima! I never would have found you on my own. :-)
I tried a couple of times to give this one a fair evaluation - wanting so badly to say I love the whole series. Sometimes the French Roasts have that just strong enough taste without crossing over any lines. For me, this one crossed the line. Instead of being a strong bold coffee, it seemed to have a burnt aftertaste to it. I will try it again, just to be sure it wasn't the mood, the moment, etc. However, this isn't one I will rush to purchase in order to stock my K-Cups cabinet.
I tried this coffee the first day we received. The first one did not finish brewing. I brewed a second one and then mixed the two together. It was very strong for me. I tried brewing them again (different day) and each one completed the brew cycle. Even with a separate brew, I thought it was to acidic and strong for my taste. I like a smoother, milder coffee taste. It did have a good strong aroma smell.
This is a bold cup of coffee. I enjoyed it with some sugar and half and half to blance out the bitterness. It was a great afternoon "pick me up". Love my coffe mid afternoon, bold and robust!
