Never be without a writing instrument

With this anchored pen one can be assured that a writing instrument is at one's fingertips in those locations where having something to write with is critical. For example I anchored my anchor pen to the base of my computer monitor which is next to my telephone. Should I be coming from another room in a hurry to answer the telephone call from a client I never have to scramble through desk debris in order to find something to record names addresses telephone numbers e-mail addresses and search instructions.

A simple and effective way to keep tool

I teach and the pen is used by students to sign out of the room. It means that there is always a pen there and no one leaves the room with writing implements.

Works like you'd expect

The chain has two ends held together by a linking piece as shown in Staples' product's picture. Note that the chain is more of a mental device to keep your pen from being further from where you put it than you want. Meaning if someone wants the pen all they'd have to do is pull hard or unlink the joint holding the two ends of the chain. You may have seen this linking piece holding a necklace or bracelet together.
