We use these at the counter for customers to use - great! Pens don't disappear if it is lost you just follow the chain from the base stuck to the counter. Detaching pens once empty is easy and you simply replace them with the refill pen on chain. Good quality good value.

Need refills

I have been using this product in the restaurant to help reduce pens being carried off at the register. Have found that the thermal paper we print reduces the pens ability to correctly and clearly write at that point people have thrown them away. My suggestions is the company producing these pens offer refills to be put in the pens so you wouldn't have to buy one every time you think it needs ink. I have run back to Staples and have found them out of stock. This is an inconvenience. Thank You

Excellent Staying Power but...

We use two Anchor Pens at the check out counter of our small retail shop for customers to sign credit card slips and sign up for our email list. We settled on these pens after the bases of other cheaper pens came un-stuck within the first month. Almost two years later and our original purchases are still firmly stuck to our counter. The pens work fine and we find that they last long enough. The little silver tip does unscrew itself causing the ink to retract into the pen but all you need to do is tighten it occasionally. Presumably the silver tip unscrews so that you can replace the ink however the Staples "refill" consists of a whole new pen a small amount of chain and a connector. That makes the refills pricey and seem wasteful. If I had to change them more often it would be more of an issue.

Very useful product. Couple this pen with a small clipboard and you have an excellent note pad for the telephone. Its most important asset is that the pen is there when you need it. A loose one tends to disappear too often.

These pens are great! We use them at the time clock guest sign in area outings sign ups clip boards etc. Easy to replace. Long lasting.
