Smooth and excellent pens

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pens have quickly become a new favorite! I’m picky with my pens - they must be smooth and reliable and typically I prefer an ultra-fine tip. I like that these ProGel pens are just slightly thicker. It makes the red ink easier to read while still being fine and not bulky. The grip on the pen makes it very comfortable to hold even for longer periods of time. I also appreciate that the tip is retractable so that I don’t need to keep track of a cap! I have had no issues with the ink smearing like gel pens sometimes do. Overall I’m super impressed by the quality and I will be adding more pens from this line to my collection in the future!

Really great pens

The ink was bold and fine point was very precise. They are comfortable to write with and the grip felt good in my hand. Would recommend these pens to a friend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the Staples ProGel Retractable Gel Pens. Gel pens are my favorite type of pens. I was particularly impressed with grip on this pen. I find that most pen grips are not comfortable. Also the Fine Point 0.7mm was great because it did not smear the page. A lot of gel pens I find smear as I write however the Staples ProGel pen did not smear. I would definitely recommend this pen.

Not quite worth the hype

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a teacher I’m very particular about my pens because I use them constantly throughout the day for grading planning and taking notes. Unfortunately I was not impressed with these pens. The ink did not flow smoothly and the fine point was too sharp for regular use. When writing at a normal speed on standard notebook paper the tip often caught on the page and sometimes even tore through it. This made the pens difficult to use in a fast-paced classroom environment. I did find the ergonomic grip comfortable and the pens were easy to hold for extended periods of time. However the overall writing experience was not enjoyable and the issues with ink flow and paper tearing outweighed the benefits. I would not recommend these pens for professional or high-volume use especially if you rely on smooth consistent writing throughout the day.

The fine 0.7mm tip writes incredibly smoothly with no skips or smudges and the red ink is bold without being harsh on the eyes. I appreciate the comfortable grip and retractable design—no caps to lose! The ink dries quickly and doesn’t bleed through most paper. For anyone looking for dependable red gel pens this 5-pack is a great value. Highly recommend!
