[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pen writes smoothly on multiple types of paper with minimal smudging. Does not pick up a lot of fiber from more textured papers. Ink flows smoothly with no splotches though it occassionally has a dot when first starting to write. The ink reservoir appears to be fairly large. The blue ink is not super dark / pigmented but is very legible. The pen has a comfortable grip and the retracting mechanism feels solid. The clip appears fairly robust for a disposable pen. It is comparable to some of the gel pens made in Japan. The one downside is the packaging. It was very difficult to remove one pen from the cardboard perforation in the 5 pack.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples ProGel Pen is a great option for a gel pen. I love how smoothly it writes. The ink dries quickly especially for a gel pen. I have the blue color and the color really stands out especially on white paper. The grip is comfortable and the pen is easy to use. I have some at work and some at home for personal use. This is a great pen for everyday use!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very specific about the kind of pens I like - I don’t like when they smear or run and I like when they glide and are easy to write with. These pens fit exactly what I love in a pen! They write easily they don’t smear and they have a strong black ink color. Love them!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who exclusively uses ink gel pens I can confidently say the Staples ProGel Pen stands up to the competition. The wider grip makes for a very comfortable hold when writing. The best part about this pen is that it writes smoothly almost gliding across the paper and dries instantly. Because of this it could be an ideal option for those who write with their left hands and have experienced smudged and smeared ink with other pens. These pens will leak ink when storing upside down which I’ve not experienced with other brands. Despite this I would use the Staples ProGel Pen on a regular basis as the pros outweigh the cons for me personally.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the Staples ProGel Pen and was thoroughly impressed. Compared to other gel pens its fast-drying ink minimized smudging while the ergonomic design and rubber grip provided comfortable writing. What I liked most about the Staples ProGel Pen was its consistent ink flow and vibrant color payoff. Whether I was jotting down notes or doodling in my planner the ink flowed smoothly without any skips or blotches. Staples ProGel Pen is now my top choice for everyday writing needs. Highly recommended!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am VERY picky about my pens. Up until now I only used a very specific brand of gel pen and could not find one I liked as much. The Staples ProGel Pen has converted me. The grip is comfortable. Instead of a standard round grip it is a slight triangle shaped grip. This is comfortable on my hand. The triangle is not so pronounced that it digs in anywhere. The pen writes very smoothly and glides over paper nicely . The ink lines are not too thin and not too thick. The ink disperses evenly throughout use. Overall I am very happy with this pen. I do a lot of writing on a daily basis and am happy to use this pen long term The ink dries incredible quickly - I was unable to smear the ink even almost immediately after writing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ProGel pen is amongst the best. It glides smoothly across the paper with no kinks or skipped lines which is essential when prioritizing neatness and speed. You won't have to stop and go back over lines. It has a comfortable easy grip and does not leave indentations on your fingers. Unlike many other gel pens I did not experience any bleed through even when I purposely tried to flood the paper making it possible to write on both sides of the paper if that's your jam. The ProGel pen is quick dry but not instant so there is a very slight possibility for smearing. Be cautious lefties! The rich concentrated ink colors make it a dream for artistic use. My son has pilfered a few for his sketch book! I love this pen and will be making it my primary pen for note taking!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy using this Staples ProGel Pen! I work from home and have to write a lot of notes to keep track of my tasks and this pen was perfect for the job. I prefer gel pens over ballpoint because I like how smooth they are and the writing is always very clear with no "skipping" ink. This ProGel pen was no different and is definitely my new go-to pen for work and to keep around the house. I was very impressed by the smoothness and the dry time. I tried swiping my finger over a line as soon as I wrote it and there was absolutely no smudging. The feel of the pen is very similar to other gel pens so it was comfortable to hold and write with but not any different than most others. I did notice that if you write VERY slowly the gel will bleed a bit more and make the print thicker but I think that happens with most gel pens. But even with a thicker line it still passed the smudge test! Overall this is a great pen if you prefer gel over ballpoint.
