[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples ProGel Pen is a very good pen. It is very comparable to my usual gel pen in functionality and design especially. Since I'm left-handed finding a pen that writes consistently without smudging is challenging and the Staples ProGel Pen met that challenge. The ink dry time was great and I did not notice any smudging while using the pen. The triangular grip on this pen made it easy and comfortable to hold. Its rich blue color was also very pleasing. The things that I liked most about the pen were that it wrote consistently fluidly and did not smudge. The only reason that kept it from getting 5 stars was that I would have preferred an ever-so-slightly bolder line.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My overall impression of these gel pens was impressed! I was a little hesitant to try them because I am very picky with my pens. I am a firm believer that certain pens can change handwriting. I can never write nice with the cheap pens. So these passed my test! I like that the comfort grip is cushioned and that they do not smear. I usually like pilot or acroball pens and these in comparison do not smear as much. It is quick drying compared to the others I like. I definitely will purchase after these run out as I genuinely enjoy them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this gel pen writes great and has innovative grip design but does not look as good as some other gel pens I use. The pen writes smooth and solid. I like rich deep blue color of its ink. And the ink dries really fast. I wrote a couple of words and checked immediately to see if it smudges and it did not! I would say it takes around 3-4 seconds for the ink to dry. The grip of this pen is different than what I have used before. It has three curved triangular sides which really helps with the grip. I personally appreciate the innovative design. I liked the pen. Some of the great things about this pen are its smooth writing and grip. On the other hand I don’t like its style and the way it looks. It could look better and more stylish.

They work fine but some have started out with a red ‘bulb’ of ink at the tip assume this can’t be avoided.

Gel pen honest review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first when I received this pen I wasn’t sure I was going to like it as the ink seems to come out very fast and because of that my writing would go from thinner to thicker. But after using for a day I really started to like it. It drys super fast and doesn’t get ink on your hand when you write or smudge like other gel pens do. It only took a day and now this is my go to pen only one I have been using. My writing is better now that I’m used to how to comes out of the pen. It’s comfy to hold not to bulky I would definitely get these pens again !

Writes smoothly and dries fast

They write very smoothly and they dry fast enough to not smear as I write (though I can't speak for my poor left-handed brethren; I'm a righty). It is pretty comfortable to hold too at least for short times. I could imagine it eventually getting sore if you're writing pages and pages but I'm mostly just signing checks or writing notes to myself these days.

Perfect everyday pen

I love a good gel pen that allows me to write quickly and smoothly with no smearing. It stays screwed tight so you don't have to worry about parts coming loose in your bag or leaks. Really just a nice quality gel pen. This pack will last a long time too. Worth noting it writes well on different thickness of paper too without bleeding.

Smooth and quick to dry but not for leftys

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the Staples ProGel pens are a great bang for your buck buttery smooth at .7mm but are not fast enough drying for a southpaw. I use a mix of different brand gel pens and the Staples brand holds up quite well. I take a lot of meeting notes and it stayed extremely smooth over the past week of usage. I don’t highlight much but when I did it didn’t smear. The dry time was particularly good at close to 5 seconds. If you are fast and grabbing highlighters quick you might get more smearing than I did. If you are left handed though it is not fast enough depending on your hold. Grip was really good as well. Didn’t get fatigued through longer meetings. These will for sure be my back up pens going forward due to their great price and comfortability.
