My new favorite gel pen

Compared to other gel pens its fast-drying ink minimized smudging while the ergonomic design and rubber grip provided comfortable writing. What I liked most about the Staples ProGel Pen was its consistent ink flow and vibrant color payoff. Whether I was jotting down notes or doodling in my planner the ink flowed smoothly without any skips or blotches. Staples ProGel Pen is now my top choice for everyday writing needs. Highly recommended!

Just as good as leading brands

Generic brand gel pens are typically less consistently smooth and inky as the more expensive brands. But the Staples brand has exceeded my expectations. I can write large portions in my notebook without the ink skipping. The dry time is also quite fast and I have not experienced smudging. The pen has a bit of cushion in its grip which is comfortable. Overall I highly recommend these pens.

Solid Pen Choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have stuck to the same type of pen for almost 10 years now but its almost impossible to find in store and expensive to buy online. This Staples ProGel pen is a solid substitute and a good choice for anyone who is as peculiar about pens as I am. It feels like a luxury pen because it writes so smoothly and the grip is comfortable. The all black design is my favorite part because it makes it feel very sleek and professional when I use it at work. The ink did not dry instantly but it was very quick and much faster than most other gel pens I've tried. I'm a lefty and I didn't have any problem with smudging from my hand so this is a good pen for people who are left handed and don't want to turn their notebook upside down when they write with it. The Staples ProGel pen will definitely be living on my desk from now on.

Does NOT smear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this pen and highly recommend it to anyone who writes a lot or anyone who is tired of having gel pens smear! I have used so many gel pens as these are my favorite but it annoys me when you pay so much money and then it bleeds or smears. Staples ProGel dries quickly and also comfortable to hold and write with as the pens have a cushioned grip. The ink is also brighter than other brands. The 0.7 tip is great for medium thickness it's not to skinny and not to thick making it a great every day office pen. My sophomore loves the pens as well!

Perfect for a lefty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a lefty in a doctoral program. I have drawers full of every type of pen. These pens are the first fast-drying that didn't leave the dreaded smudge mark on my pinky. They write so smoothly with almost no friction against the paper and the small ergonomic grip gives it added comfort. I prefer a slightly fatter and more pronounced ergonomic grip but this pen is quickly becoming my go-to.

Pretty good pen overall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pen was comfortable to hold as it has a foam grip near the base. The overall experience using the pen was pretty average. This pen does not compare to my favorite gel pen brand. The thickness of the writing tip was a thicker than I prefer. I prefer an extremely fine tip pen. The overall smoothness of the ink was smooth but not as smooth as I prefer. The ink dried in a reasonable amount of time however it did smear on certain types of materials especially if they had a glossy finish like greeting cards. Most gel pens smear on those surface types so it isn’t necessarily a defect in this pen. Overall this pen was comfortable and pretty smooth to write with. However I wouldn’t switch from my favorite brand.
