So it’s just a basic staple remover right? A set of claws to separate staples from paper hopefully without tearing up the pages too badly...and it does this well as expected. But unlike any other staple remover I’ve owned these have a little red switch on the side that when engaged holds the jaws closed presumably to save space and help keep it from snagging rubber bands paper clips and other rogue objects rattling around that desk drawer not to mention that cute knit sweater. Great idea right?! Well only “great” if the feature functions optimally. The switch on mine is difficult enough to engage (it must be in the exact right place to align which is somewhere short of fully closed) and even then offers enough resistance that you’ll break a nail if you’re not very careful. I just leave mine open delicate sweaters and desk tchotchkes aside...I mean after all why let a “feature” we’ve lived without for over a century completely wreck a $47 manicure?
I really only needed 1 remover but was obligated to buy 3 which is a bit excessive for the average shopper looking for 1. It might be better to reduce the price and offer a pack of 2 instead of 3.
