A New Staple for Smooth Writing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When given the option I tend to go for gel pens with the click-to-write/retractable feature. (I hate pen caps - they get lost or I break them while fidgeting.) They're my go-to choice despite having a variety of other pens scattered throughout my desk. The Staples ProGel Pen is as good or better than other gel pens I've used. Initially it felt lighter than expected which gave me pause but as soon as I started writing any concerns about its weight vanished. It's comfortable and smooth. This pen will be my new staple. Pros: Writes smoothly dries almost instantly doesn't bleed through paper comfortable grip. Cons: None?

The ink runs out in a week or less....I am halfway thru a box in a month. I love gel pens but these don't meet the usual performance of other brands.

Very Impressive Quality Pens

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These gel pens are amazing! I kind of have an addiction to pens and have only 2 styles that I will use for writing. If I use a pen to write something & I feel like my handwriting looks bad I will re-write it with a different pen so I’m very picky and selective with what pens I’ll use! I tried these pens out & was completely shocked at how smoothly they write. My handwriting looked better than I expected the ink dries so quickly so no smearing when moving your hand on the paper. The gripper on the pen made it SO comfortable to hold and the ridges on the gripper make the pen sit perfectly in between your fingers while writing. The ink makes the perfect sized writing not too thin not too thick. I’m obsessed with these pens now & am most definitely going to get me some more in black ink as well!!! I’m replacing the 2 only styles of pens that I’ve been using with these! Haven’t ever used a more comfortable pen that I actually liked my handwriting with before! If you’re a pen addict like me & always looking for the perfect pen for you to write with THESE ARE A MUST TRY! I promise you WILL NOT be disappointed! L

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pen is very comfortable to hold. It has a rubber grip around the base. It’s not a super soft rubber but there’s enough cushion to it for it to be comfortable. This pen also writes like a dream. There are other more expensive brands out there and this one achieves the same outcome if not better. The gel writes very nicely without any breaks in the writing and dries very quickly! I appreciate it being retractable as well since I’m typically throwing it in my car or a bag and don’t want pen marks everywhere. Also one less peice to keep up with!

Office Basics Done Well

Attention to detail is obvious as soon as you take it out of the package with the tip covers to ensure it writes the first time it touches paper. The ink itself is the same shade and tone as any other major brand and the tip width is nice. The tail end of pen strokes is finer and avoids sloppy blotches at the end of words. My favorite thing about the pen is the triangular-shaped grip with a nice texture. I find the broader surface more comfortable for longer writing sessions over a circular grip.

Comparable to brand name gel pens

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will preface this review by saying that I have a strong preference for gel pens and have tried many different brands over the years. I refuse to use anything else. Though I was skeptical that the Staples ProGel pens would work as well as the brand name pens I tend to reach for I am pleasantly surprised! These work just as well as their competitors and the ink glides on paper smoothly and beautifully. It dries within seconds and does not smudge! The textured ridges in the padding makes it both comfortable and easy to hold. The 0.7mm thickness is perfect for me as that is what I'm used to. I doubt I will ever buy brand name gel pens again. These are just as good.
