Who doesn't like the thought of coffee made over a fire? Sadly I have made coffee over a fire that tasted much better than this. Green Mountain should yank this one. Smoky aroma yes, but yikes, smoky taste, smoky after taste, what did they do, add ashes? Not a huge fan of this. Too many good K Cups out there for bad tasting ones. Won't be returning to this lodge...
Cons: Unpleasant Flavor, Unpleasant Aftertaste, Unappealing Or Flat Aroma, Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body
I haven't had my Keurig for too long and I've tended to buy up at the most popular end of the spectrum since I figure the highest rated are probably the best. I haven't been disappointed either but I ventured down to 4 stars and bought a sample 5 pack of Lake and Lodge. Its the best I've had. A very deep, almost smoky taste without aftertaste. I think of my coffees in terms of seasons and I would classify this one as a late Autumn type of coffee. Perfect for a Fall morning but probably too strong for Spring or Summer.
This is by far one of my favorites! The name says it all!! It reminds me of sitting in front of a fire place on a nice cold night!! This one is a keeper!!
My favorite Sunday morning coffee. Grab a book and enjoy both early in the morning as the sun comes up and the world starts to come alive. Perfect on a cool South Florida morning.
The perfect coffee. Has a great taste and extra smooth finish. Reminds me of camping in the woods with coffee on the camp fire. Also has a slight oak taste.
