They got the name right--sip this and you can easily imagine an early morning at the lake, watching the mist rise and the eagle swooping in for a fish. Deep rich taste but not over-roasted. Perfect morning cup. However, I am a coffee wuss, so if you like really strong heavy coffee ignore me. This just tastes good. Takes creamer well, too. First cup in a long time that I really enjoyed. Recommended for breakfast!
Pros: Depth, Not Bitter, Balanced Acidity, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Smooth Taste
I have to agree with those that say it has a burnt or a little bit of a charred taste. I usually only drink coffee in the morning, and I really enjoy my morning coffee. It does have a good bold deep flavor. Just not my favorite.
This is by far the best k-cup out there. Not too strong, yet definitely not too weak, it has a flavor that is perfect first thing in the morning or any time. I have served this to friends who are skeptical about k-cups, and this one always passes muster. I highly recommend.
I really enjoy dark roast coffees and so I was excited to try this one out. I was disappointed as it was not what I consider a dark roast coffee. It tasted very weak and watery compared to some of the other dark roasts. I probably should have tried it in a sample package before the 24ct, but oh well it is a decent coffee.
Pros: Smooth Taste, Pleasing Roast
Cons: Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body, Roasted Too Light
I love this coffee the only thing is I find it hard to find. A lot of places sell green moumtain coffee but they don't have Lake and lodge. I wish more places would sell it. Now about the only time I can get it is to order it from the website.
