My new favorite

I originally ordered this because of the name -- our favorite retreat is a cabin in the mountains, and I thought this would be the perfect coffee to take up there. I was bowled over when I first tasted it -- it smells great, and the flavor more than lived up to the aroma. I take my coffee with creamer, and this coffee is bold enough for its true flavor to come through even with a flavored creamer. My husband drinks his coffee with sugar but no cream, and he didn't particularly care for it -- he thought it tasted somewhat bitter. I, on the other hand, have found my go-to flavor, my favorite coffee to enjoy at home before heading off to work, and the perfect complement for cool, crisp mornings in the mountains!

I read a couple of these comments and I must assure all of you who are thinking about purchasing this coffee, it doesn't smell like cigarettes (I am not a smoker and I hate the smell of smoke), and definitely does not taste like licorice. It's great as a cup, or as a shot to make a strong iced coffee (one shot directly in ice, then add half and half, and sugar).

I love it! Lake and Lodge by far has to be my favorite. From the aroma to the taste with just a bit of sugar this coffee is perfect am about to order another box after I type this.

It is great to be able to drink one cup of excellent coffee & be satisfied rather than trying a few different blends & still looking for that perfect taste !
