I thought a neighbor was in front of my kitchen window having a morning cigarette, but no, it was actually the smell of the coffee brewing. Tasted like it smelled. As a non-smoker, it was repulsive in both smell and taste.
Cons: Unpleasant Flavor, Unappealing Or Flat Aroma, Unpleasant Aftertaste

From the reviews we expected this coffee to be at least as good as most that we have tasted. It proved to be really bad. Given the many good reviews, I believe something must have went awry with this particular lot - contamination or some bad beans? Sadly, it is not usable and I would certainly not offer it to a guest.

Has a weird aftertaste - like it was brewed from pond water in a musty lodge. For naturalists - it's the way to go. For those who don't like the taste of duck waste in your brew - there are crisper/cleaner coffees out there.

Lake and Lodge coffee does not have a coffee flavor but has a very strange taste. Fortunately I only bought a 5 pack of K-Cups so I didn't lose much money on the awful product.
