Short Battery Life

Just start using this item for my grandson about two months ago regularly (every other day). Im looking for another monitor at the moment. The reciever will not hold a charge. Not even when it is plugged in. The battery life is gone although the batteries are rechargeable. The sound quality is great but absolute without a working battery.

Does only one job, and it does it well

We've had this baby monitor for over three years now and we're still using it everyday. I admit the battery does't hold more than 30 minutes on a charge after two years, but given the size of the pack it's understandable. This unit has no bells & whistles... it does only one thing: transmit audio, and it does an excellent job! The microphone on the base is so sensitive it's scary! I was reading other comments about defective units, and I think that it is poor judgment to write a negative review when you don't even give Graco the opportunity to replace your unit under warranty. We highly recommend this product, and in fact we're buying one as a gift for a friend.

Only occasionally works

I was given this at my baby shower. at first it worked great. Now the parent unit hardly ever receives signal from the child unit. And at times it lets out this very loud static sound and beeping that can only be stopped by pulling the battery out. Not great when baby is sleeping since it is so loud, even my neighbors have complained.

Battery issues

I had the same experience as Fred A. This product worked great for the first year then started having the same problems, would not charge and now red light is on and will not work at all...neither parent unit will work. It would be great if a new battery pack was sold separatly but it does not look like that is the case.

Wonderful Monitor

I bought this monitor on craigslist about a month ago. I absolutely love it. There is no static and the parent unit has a belt clip so I can take it with me everywhere in the house. Also its not too loud. I am light sleeper and with this monitor I am not waking up with every single noise my baby makes only when she really needs me. This is the 4 monitor I have tried all different brands and this one by far exceeds the others. I am very happy with my purchase.

Love the battery feature

We love to go camping, and this monitor is perfect for it! I love that I can hear my sleeping baby when I'm at the campfire and don't have to keep getting up to listen at the tent, this monitor is perfect for camping because of it's optional battery operated feature. Plus it amazing that it shows the temperature! Such a useful feature! My husband and I are really happy with this monitor!

Poor battery life

I had this monitor with my son and not long after using it, the range became worse and worse. Then it would not work without being on charging station and plugged in. When my son outgrew im the need for a monitor, I packed it up with all the other baby stuff and forgot about it. Now, with my daughter I took it out of storage in the basement with other baby stuff and am frustrated that it does not work without the base and being plugged in, especially since we have a bigger home now. If you are looking for a good range and being able to have a portable listening device to take around the home this is not the product for you! If you are ok with it having to be plugged in to work (after a month or two of use), then this should suffice.
However, I am not happy with my purchase. So now I get to research and buy another monitoring setup.
