Decent monitor -- with alarm quirks

It's functional. It has pretty good range -- We clip the monitor to our belt with a carabiner and can go work in our yard. Sometimes we have to leave the monitor hanging in a tree where we can hear it, but generally, I've been very satisfied with the range. The problem we have with this monitor is once every month or two, for no reason at all in the middle of the night (or 5 minutes ago in this case) it just decides to go "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP..." loudly and repeatedly until you simply turn it off and turn it back on again. Mostly just obnoxious for me, but a much bigger deal for my wife who has insomnia and has a hard time sleeping. While I've been generally pleased with this monitor, for this reason, I wouldn't buy it again.
(Why is this sudden alarming even programmed into the monitor?? It's apparently a part of the software -- I just don't see why. It's a different alarm than when the monitor looses connectivity and has the occasional "beep beep")

So upset with this purchase

I bought this monitor because it was recommended by a friend. I am regretting it very much. I have found that I can not use it for more than half an hour at a time, because it begins to beep stating low battery. The parent unit is plugged in constantly, so that is impossible! I am so angry for having purchased this useless thing, because now I have to spend even more money to get a monitor that actually works.

Very disapointing

I purchased this product because it seemed to be the best value. That is, it has the most features for the money. However, after using it for a few weeks, I wished I had gotten a different one. This moniter stops working from time to time. The receiver loses its signal for no reason and the system needs to be reset in order to start working again. Several times I've woken in the middle of the night to a very upset baby, with no idea how long she had been crying. The extra features are great, but if this monitor doen't serve it's basic purpose, what good is it?

Waste of time and money

This monitor is the worst! It will stop working in the middle of the night! Many times I have woken up to hear my child screaming from across the hall, and when I look at the monitor it is on but just not working. The battery life on it is also disappointing.

Great, affordable monitor!

We have used this monitor for over a year now and have not had one single problem in functionality or workability. You get clear sound & a light indicator of sound shoud you have the volume low, you can see the alert. It holds a decent charge. My only reaspon for not giving 5 stars is that once you have it charged and use it, when it dies from low charge power, you cannot plug it in to continue to use it, you have to plug it in to charge before you can turn it back on. As long as you use it plugged in for the majority of the time and don't rely on using the charged power, this is a great monitor.

I have a 4 month old, grandson (1st time)..... also, I don't wrote reviews (1st time w/ this, too) & I've already went through ATLEAST 7 monitors..... then I found this one!! It's A LOT of monitor, for a FRACTION of what I've paid for "top of the line" brands/models! For soon-to-be-moms, or new mommies/daddies/"Grammies (like myself)....PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION: getting a good.... NO, GREAT..... baby monitor is all too often overlooked b4 baby gets here!! Don't make this mistake! Save time (& money) by getting a good one!! Save the box (& RECEIPT), test it out .... EVEN IF IT'S NOT THIS ONE.... & do it b4 baby gets here!!! Good luck & thanks y'all!!

My husband and I wanted a monitor that would give us the temperature in our nursery. So far, it has been very accurate. The sound quality of the monitor is pretty good, and I like how it will vibrate to notify you. You can also talk to your baby...almost like a intercom. Overall, I really like the unit.

I wish I didn't purchase this

The third day of using this product the nursery unit stopped submitting sound to the parental unit. After awhile of pushing buttons, we found if you unplugged the nursery unit from the wall the unit must reset itself. This must be done every third day to stop this. Wish I would have found this out in the middle of the night when the unit decided to shut itself off. Also the parental unit beeps for no reason, occasionally with no pattern to it after a few hours of use. I understand that it beeps when it's low on battery or out of range. Our room is fifteen feet away from our nursery so there is no way it's out of range. Also we leave the unit always plugged in so there is no way it's low on battery. I wish I would have read some of these reviews before we purchased this item. I was hoping for a better monitor with the additional money we spent on this product. I wish I would have saved the receipt, I would have returned this item for a different monitor. Very disappointed in this product.
