Three years of nightly use!

For the price, I was happy to get a solid three years out of this monitor. It even fell to the bottom of a lake and (after taking apart and drying) survived! At the end of it's life, the monitor would no longer charge. I've got a video one now, and I do prefer it, especially since I can talk back through it to my son.

Reliable, great sound quality

I've been using these monitors for almost 3 years now. I can hear my kids breathing if I turn it up and really listen. The sound quality is great. I live in a fairly dense city environment (old brick rowhomes) and interference has rarely been a problem - easily solved by switching channels. I have 2 kids now and use 2 of these monitors at naptime - they do not interfere with each other in the slightest.
My first monitor "went berserk" about 3-4 months after we started using it - just started beeping and flashing at random times, at full volume, for no apparent reason. Called Graco and they sent me a brand new replacement. That replacement has never given me any trouble, nor has the 2nd monitor we bought 16 months ago for our 2nd child.
The batteries of the older unit no longer hold a charge, and the newer unit now only lasts about 4 hours between charges (both lasted 8 when new), so it's time for us to buy replacement battery packs. Other than that, there has been no degradation in quality.
My only actual complaint would be the clip on the back of the parent unit - whenever I attempt to clip the monitor onto any piece of clothing (belt, pants pocket, hoodie pocket, you name it) the monitor will sit there quietly for 2-5 minutes, and then leap from said piece of clothing and plummet to the floor. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but the clips do NOT work for me. That being said, the monitors still work just fine after several drops from 2-3ft. off the floor. And I can live without the clip.

Worked great for the first two months. Then the battery stopped charging, plugging it in didn't work either. Good price, but it should have lasted longer than that.

Battery Does not charge

I have tried to charge the battery. Yes I did follow the directions to every last specific detail. It does not charge. I have read several other reviews on other sites that reflect the same thing. Unfortunately, I read them after I bought the monitor. Im not even going to bother with yet another battery. Its just time to buy a different monitor.

Great until we realized the major problem it cause

This is by far the best sounding baby monitor on the market. That being said, for the last year we've been having HORRIBLE hair pulling wifi coverage inside our postage stamp sized town house. We've bought new routers, changed router placement a hundred times, then it donned on me... DIGITAL baby monitor.... I've turned off the nursery transmitter, and instantly there is a huge difference in wifi performance in our house... After all the calls to our ISP, the fighting, hundreds of dollars on new routers, and frustration, it all turned out to be the baby monitor. I wish I realized this sooner...

Would not recomend

I bought this monitor because it had 2 hand sets. After a few mmonths 1 quit working. I have tried everything to fix it with no sucess. I am very disapointed that I spent that much money for the one I wanted and it doesn't work.

Radio interference - Android Smartphones

I have this product, but my wife and I recently discovered that with the latest Android smartphones, radio interference and feedback is severe. We have tried different ways to cut the interference to no avail.
It is recommended by us to test this product on a trial basis. If it does the same problem for you, please contact Harris Communications, Graco Baby, and the FCC who regulates radio frequencies.
