Most work well with a couple choppy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these Paper Mate Ink Joy Gel Metallic Pens for free in exchange for my honest review. Most of the pens worked great, the pink was a bit choppy. And the gold wouldn't work well for me at all. As you may see one pen is missing in the picture my kids ran off with it before I could take pics. The missing pen worked but was a little choppy the rest of the pens have worked well so far, with a smooth flow for writing purposes. Considering the cost I would buy this pack of pens myself.

To enhance their performance, we recommend avoiding shiny, smooth, or coated surfaces. Before use, try warming up the pen by testing it on scratch paper. If the ink doesn’t flow right away, gently tapping the tip on the paper may help get it started.

Great Color in Beautiful Metallics!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave these pens to my daughter, she loved the comfortable smooth design of the pens. It made for a nice grip, which is wonderful because she is an artist who uses a tight grip when working. The ink has a lovely pigment, making it high quality. We would suggest when using to let the ink dry a bit before rubbing over it, it did smudge a little (which you can see in the photo).

Decent pens to add something extra.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I honestly love the grey and the bronze colored pens! They add a little sparkle to notes or letters and provide a much needed change up from traditional blue or black pens. They feel smooth and fast on paper and glide when writing. The only reason why this is a 4 star and not a 5 is that the yellow pen was a let down. The ink was not as reliable as the other two colors and was generally difficult to see on traditional white paper.

Fun way to jazz up your writing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pens are so fun! I love the fact they show up on light or dark paper. I love all the colors. When I tested these pens, it seemed like some colors wrote smoother than others, but that could have been because not all the pens had that little gel cap on the end. I’m hoping with more use the ink will start to flow a little better and faster.

Nostalgia in a Pen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this is just pure nostalgia in a pen. As a millennial, my heart skips a beat just holding a gel pen, let alone a…metallic gel pen. Needless to say this is a great pen to write cute notes and use for crafts. I could see this writing well over dark paper. I personally offer one of these pens for students to use for their “show work” in school. Kids get excited just like I used to do AND it gets them back on task when they don’t want to write. Only downside with the metallic pens is they can get a little streaky with the wrong amount of pressure or if a piece of something gets lodged somewhere at the tip. Overall a great pen to have on the desk.
