I love the looks of this pen. It is comfortable to write with and produces a smooth, sharp black line. I like that the refill is pressurized. It seems a regular occurrence that I need to write using a wall or steering wheel, so the pressurized refill helps. The grip feels good, but I would prefer a textured rubberized grip like on the G-450. Seems like if my fingers were sweaty I might have more trouble holding it. One other minor complaint is that the pocket clip configuration is a bit shallow. The top third of the clip is obstructed by a plastic part (part of the ""clicker assembly"", the piece that has the lanyard ring) so it is difficult to get seated in the pocket. Even with these minor complaints I like this pen a lot!

Smooth and Solid Go-Anywhere Pen

I like the X-701 ! It is a solid pen with a good line quality. The pen write smoothly and there is no detectable flex to the pen point. I have not tried writing upside down yet to confirm the pressurized ink flow. (Have not needed to try the Refills yet, but I'm working on that !)

This is my favorite ballpoint that you produce. This is my second go-around with the x-701, the first one was lost in an unfortunate pen-loaning incident. Writes smoothly, like a dream, and thanks for the replacement ink, as well. Will definitely be using this as my everyday.

I would not buy this again

normally I used the F-301 compact. this has been my favorite go to, every day use pen. I also like the all metal F-701, I like the all metal durability. so I tried this pen thinking it was a cooler version of the F-701. I am a geology student, and figured this was a sturdy durable pen I can use to write on my ""Rite in the Rain"" field notebook. Out of the package I was disappointed it was not metal. I have only had this pen about a month and now as I write the pen skips a lot, and I have to change my writing style in order for it to work. the paint is chipping as well. I like Zebra, but this pen was disappointing. I will continue to use this for a bit more and change out the refill see if that skipping problem persists.

Like it, mostly

I enjoy this pen and was intrigued by its ""tactical"" billing. I am a little disappointed that like all other initial offerings from Zebra, it only comes in black ink by default. I use blue ink for all my paperwork and wish it had blue refills in medium point. I have a tendency to punch through paper with the fine tip. I only use it for noted that are temporary since it only has black ink. Add some blue refills and I will definitely use it more. In my opinion, all Zebra pens should be available in both blue and black ink options from local retailers.

Wouldn't buy again

Very cheap feeling. Very ""scratchy"" writing. Only thing going for it is that it's a fine point and thick pen body.
