DD-640 is worth the money

The scanner works really good, not sure of can actually scan at 16 pages per minute. This is due to the iprint and scan software that asks multiple questions to scan additional pages. The DS-620. Had great software. All in sll is is nice portable scanner.

No updated drivers for new Apple products.

I thought it would be a good idea. Brother doesn't have any updated drivers for new Apple products. Therefore, it does not work.

This is a great little scanner. Easy to use. Scans very fast. Light weight and portable. Scans as well as a full size scanner/printer without the hassle.

Small and mighty

Being a notary on the go, having a reliable portable scanner is an essential piece of equipment. This scanner is small and gets the job done. It’s also very affordable. Great purchase!

Not nearly as practical as an Epson

Quite disappointed in the scanner in comparison to an Epson DS-30 which I owned for 12 years. The DS-640 has to be reconnected to the computer each time I launch the scanning app. Additionally, the scanning app requires clicking through several screens to just save a scan. Way more cumbersome that the Epson Scan app. The only positive is that it scans quicker than the Epson.

What a joke!

Recently purchased to convert all of my school files to digital copies. It jams easily, and suddenly today I received a message that says "memory full" when trying to scan in color. Yet, when I try to find how to clear the "memory" which I didn't know it supposedly had, there are no directions anywhere. The support site gives information for unrelated products. On top of that, the main driver won't load onto 2 different devices, so I have to pretend to let it be downloading just so I can use it at all. As the headline says...WHAT A JOKE!

Brother mobile scanner DS-640

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I enjoyed the DS-640. I wished I had gotten the mobile friendly version because I would have loved to try it out on my phone. I like the design. It is simple, compact, and travels well. Connecting the scanner to the laptop is a breeze. The user interface is easy to work with. I like that it has 4 save/share features (save to PC, scan to cloud service, open in application, and attach to email. The scans were super crisp as well. I am not a very computer savvy person and this product was easy to set up and use. I like the product very much and look forward to using it
