This printer scans photos poorly. Wash out extreme

Very disappointed in the ability to scan photos and turn into jpegs. This printer is noticeably poorer than my last several Brother printers. Photos get washed out look and nothing I can do to help adjust any settings. Black and White copies are ok!

I think it's magic

I am amazed at how intuitive it is and how fast. I tried two other printers first. One was gigantic and more than I would ever need and I couldn't figure it out. The next one had an led box that was so tiny that I coud not read it even with a magnifier. I have low vision. For some reason I thought I needed color. I do not, I finally realized that color complicated my life too much. I do wish that this direction screen was bigger with darker print, but I could read it and function when the paper ran out using a magnifier. I'm glad I didn't purchase the color one I was looking at just because it had a much bigger led screen. I almost did that so please make this one bigger. I do think this is magic, though. I really, really like it. I've used the scanning feature and the double sided feature already and both worked flawlessly and so, so fast!

Printer responds immediately to commands and prints quickly and efficiently. Wireless printing works from adjacent rooms with no extra prompting.

This was the first laser printer I've purchased for my home office, and I'm very pleased with my decision. Copies and scans have been flawless. I'm interested to see how long the toner cartridge lasts.

Works perfectly every time. I purchased an HP just a year ago, and it was simply ridiculous. 6 service calls, and it never resolved. They refused to honor warranty, etc. In the trash it went. However, the Brother is another story. Works every time, perfectly. Scan utility is perfect. No paper jams, ever. By and far superior to HP. Glad I found a solution!
