Brother too pushy

I’m very happy with the product and very happy with the phone support I’ve received from brother. What I am extremely unhappy about is the relentless continuous prodding by brother to get me to subscribe to monthly toner deliveries. It is never ending, via email and from within brother supplied windows apps/utilities provided with the product. I’ll buy toner from you when I’m good and ready, thank you very much! I’m so frustrated by this that it may preclude me from purchasing from brother again, even though I’m am very happy with the product.

Excellent printer, but password issue!

Great printer, but I ran into an issue during setup. The printer instructed me to choose my own device password to replace the default. I did it on the touchscreen, quite precariously as you can’t really tell what button you pressed, or see what you’ve typed. But I entered it again, so figured I must have gotten it right.
Later in trying to access all settings through the mobile app, and when updating firmware, at asked for my password (that id just created). I copied and pasted from my password manager app, but it didn’t work. Tried multiple times. Eventually had to reset the printer and go through the whole setup process again, pairing mobile devices, setting preferences, etc. What a pain!
After creating a new password a second time, it still doesn’t work in use! Beyond frustrating! Eventually I have the sense to type it in manually, and guess what? It works.
Brother, great printers, but two requests - don’t automatically blank out the text when entering passwords so we can see what we’re typing, and let us copy and paste. I feel like it’s 2010 manually entering a complex password every time I want to go into the advanced settings.

Love this multi printer. I missed the cartridge -easiness. I had the MFC 10 years ago . Glad I came back to this printer today !!

Easy set-up and quiet. Sample cartridge doesnt print a lot. Have a back up. Cartridge are a bit on the high side.

Decent but has issues with grabbing too much paper

This printer has solid reviews, but it likes to take more than one page in between printing sometimes, which ruins its double sided printing sometimes. This printer is new and used new paper too.

I am not pleased with your product. Previous hp was better. The Staples salesman convinced me that it was better when I couldn't get my usual hp (unavailable at the time) Your machine pulls in the paper to be copied and always turns it so that a crooked copy appears. i need to copy it again and sometimes again, If I create excessive copies (20 or 30), your exit area does not hold it properly.

Problems

I used this to replace a Brother printer I'd had for 15 years. This one tripped my circuit breakers every time I tried to print something. Setup was difficult. I had to call the company to help set it up. Finally, right out of the box it was louder than the 15-year old Brother I was replacing. I'm going to give Brother another shot and choose a different printer.

Does not scan a 2-sided doc.

Pay attention to the scanning capabilities. We didn't and this model does not scan a two-sided document using the document feeder. While it prints one-sided from a two-sided document, it doesn't scan. On-line information indicates there is a menu option to select two-sided to one scan. A chat with Brother rep took several minutes (great service) only to discover this model actually doesn't have this option.
