Good Frig. Fine price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement frig in our home. It is very quiet and the inside space much more than our older model even though the Whirlpool has only a slightly large footprint. We didn't buy an ice maker. The only nit I have is usually when you buy a new frig, it has a) a place to slide ice trays. Ice trays have to be stacked in the large compartment. And when have frig makers stopped giving away ice trays with their new machines?Still, I'm happy with my purchase.

Interior design could be better for both freezer and refrige

Outside appearance is okay except for the freezer door. Top edge is above case top. Freezer door shelves do not come all the way out to the wrap around stop. Food falls out onto the floor because the gap is too great. Poor design. Temperature control only has 3 settings. Set at the recommended factory setting water froze in the refrigerator because the temperature went down to 27 degrees. Had to reset the control to a higher temperature which barely maintains 40 degrees. By doing this the freezer is just at the upper limit of the proper freeze point of 0 degrees. Not good. Crisper bins are too small. The unit is very noisy compared to the one it replaced that was 19 years old and never broke down once. This unit was delivered with a broken door bin for example. We had to buy this unit solely because of space limitations. If it weren't for this problem we would have purchased another one just like we had that this unit replaced. From what we have heard this unit is not going to last 19 years like the old one. Maybe 8 tops. Time will tell.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than I expected

I bought this model from P.C. Richards after our previous Frigidaire had broken down 2 weeks before my child's birthday! Well, to say the least this was very much needed. The cubic feet space is very noticeable compared to our older one and I really like the shelving and how everything just fits deeper into the refrigerator. The temperature is just to my liking at the recommended settings. Overall it's a good product, good model

Great refrigerator!

I bought this about a month ago and I am so glad I did. The space in my kitchen was only wide enough for 30", so I looked carefully, long and hard, to find what I hoped would be the perfect one. I succeeded! I love the shelf space.
