Decent value for price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have hadfridge for a little over a month now. Description Is accurate based on other reviews. Overall meets our needs. Have had some freezing of vegetables. Also, light in freezer would be of benefit. Good as inexpensive secondary fridge.

I still believe in Whirlpool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replacing a 17 year old Whirlpool that had performed extremely well. Received the new refrigerator but had to reverse the door opening. Found the pre-drilled holes did not match up with the hinge pivots and required extra work to get the door to close properly. The top freezer door required a lot of adjustments to close properly and after the refrigerator was plugged in and started it still did not seal to prevent the cold from escaping. Another adjustment was necessary. Finally we are happy with our new refrigerator but one other irritant is that our old Whirlpool had a small shelf in the freezer for an ice cube tray. The new one doesn't have one but has the predrilled holes and screws for one. I wish I had seen that before they took the old one away.
Too be fair, our old fridge was top of the line (Whirlpool Gold) and we needed a fridge immediately so we did take what we could get which was a standard unit.

Overall good size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator was delivered two weeks ago. It's a good size for one-two people. There are a couple features I would change; bigger vegetable and fruit bins, freezer light would be great, and I'd like the door shelves to be totally enclosed so items don't slip out of the bottom. Also, the door gasket is already separating from the refrigerator door and apparently is not covered by the warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my fridge in the spring. I did have some issues. As the freezer was not keeping items frozen when set to recommend. When I had the freezer set to where it would keep things frozen the fridge would freeze items in it. After the technician was out and work on the fridge. It is working fine.

Terrible temperature management

Bought for overflow as second fridge. Temp control is terrible. Have to set it to lowest (warmest) setting so it won't freeze food in fridge compartment. My guess,,,
1.Thermistor is placed in the wrong location.
2.Thermistor is poorly calibrated or not a quality thermistor.
3. Logic in the main board isn't properly programmed for the thermistor used.

This thing will freeze your food so do not use as a main home fridge and definitely keep sensitive produce away from vents where air comes into fridge compartment from the freezer.
On the other end, when it is off and waiting to come on again, sometimes it won't come ON until the fridge compartment is at 5/6 degrees celsius. Again, poorly designed thermistor/logic on main board.
Only positive is once this fridge finally shuts off, the thing is well insulated and will keep temp consistent for long and will not come back on for quite a while if the door is not opened often.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After one month:Basic function is good, minor nits

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a basic unit replacing a 24 year old basic unit. The unit keeps things cold, is quiet and looks pretty good. Nits: the upper surface is bowed upwards due to the sprayed in insulation. This made the unit more than a half inch taller in the middle than the edges making for a tighter fit than expected. I had to move the hinge from the right to the left side; that was no problem and the instructions were clear. It did expose a weak and poorly designed light switch. I kept bumping it shutting the light off when the door was open.. until finally, the last bump snapped it off. Hello darkness, my old friend... The 22 y/o unit also had the switch on the right but I rarely bumped it and it never broke. This is the only right/left swap issue I see.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve only had the fridge for a few weeks and while we like the looks and layout of the fridge it makes a lot of noise while it’s running. Our last new fridge only lasted 4 years, we were hoping that Whirlpool still produced a quality fridge, looks like quality is gone. At least I got the extended warranty.

Nice Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the fridge.It works great and is very spacious.The only issue is the seal does not want to stay attached to the door.It seals but when the door is pulled open the seal comes loose from the door.Tried all suggestions to get it to lock in place to the door but nothing has worked.Other than that I am happy with it.It is very spacious with a good layout design.
I would recommend this to a friend!
