We received our new Whirlpool refrigerator last week. There are several things we especially like about our new Whirlpool. First, we like the new daylight intensity bulbs in the freezer and refrigerator cabinets. The "hotter" light makes it easier to distinguish what's inside. Also, we really like the slideable drawer underneath the top shelf. Our only drawback to this refrigerator is that since it has a brand new style plug for the icemaker installation, it required a different icemaker installation kit. This kit was not available at any of our regional appliance parts distributor's 28 warehouses. they had to order it and it will take about a week to get.

Good lighting

The fridge part must be built for a very short person. I am 5 ft tall and I have to bend over to see and get items out of fridge. My husband is not too pleased either as he is way taller than me. I hit my head on the freezer door due to my reaching down and coming back up. I did not physically see this as was ordered directly from Whirlpool over the phone and went on reviews and none mention this problem. It seem as if the freezer door is too tall. In all my years of owning refrigerators and I am 69 years old I have not had this problem. The only positive thing is it is roomy and well lit. My advice is do not buy something like this sight unseen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
