[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great new fridge and was what I needed. The condenser is super loud though. Will call the vendor and ask about it.

Whirlpool QC Issues
on May 1, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Three days after purchasing, I realized that the reason the freezer was frosting up, and that the fridge wasn't cooling, was that the the refrigerator door was warped, leaving a 1/4" gap across the bottom seal. The Whirlpool service technician that came out tried to heat and stretch the seal, but now has ordered a new door; says it should be delivered in 4 to 5 weeks.
You be the judge.

Poor Handle Design
on July 23, 2024

I bought this refrigerator in December 2023 and the refrigerator door handle broke in July. There are two adults in the household so the handle was not abused. Using plastic to attach the handle to the door is a poor design. Although the handle has been replaced under warranty with an OEM part by a certified Whirlpool repair company, the stainless steel handle on the refrigerator door does not match that on the freezer door. It is noticeably darker. I was told by Whirlpool that this is due to the variation in manufacturing plants. This is not acceptable. I purchased a Whirlpool appliance due to my past positive experience with the company.

Plastic part of the handle does not last!!!!

I bought this in January. The plastic part of the handle broke and was replaced in July under warranty. The handle broke again and I have to pay for the handle. The top plastic part of the handle is cheap plastic and does not hold up.

Great BUT ...
on March 10, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this refrigerator for about 1 month and it works great. However 2 complaints are:
1 - Refrigerator is very low so I have to bend down to reach inside to get things.
2 - Refrigerator temperature is difficult to read and the manual does not explain which way is a higher or lower temperature.

Overall a good, basic refrigerator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, it's a nice refrigerator after about a week of use. The LED lighting works great illuminating the food and freezer compartments. Shelf locations are very flexible, and the temperature control works very well. The main issue I would point out is quality control. The food compartment door is angled down slightly (right to left), and I haven't had any success in leveling it. Also, that door's gasket was not tight enough and had a small gap allowing hot air to enter the food compartment ( I was able to fix this). Finally, the two crispers have almost a half inch gap between them and the bottom shelf, to me making the crisper humidity vents useless.

Simple but Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking to replace my old style refrigerator with the same one. Of course they don't make it anymore since I've had it for over 20 years. I do not like the new side by side or bottom freezer styles. The market is saturated with those. I wanted an old school regular refrigerator. Well that's exactly what I got. My last one was a bit bigger than this one, but it's as close as I was going to get and I am more than happy with my choice. It is just what I wanted. Top freezer with large refrigerator space. Perfect. If you don't want bells and whistles.....go for it....room for food for those who still cook these days lol!

Not Recommended

I do not recommend this model for two reasons:
1. Poor temperature controls. Instead of separate temperature controls for the refrigerator and freezer sections, you get one "temperature balance" control - turn it one way or the other and more or less cooling is directed to each section. Very hard to get BOTH sections at optimal temperatures together.
2. Poor self design, especially on the freezer inside door. Shelves have huge gaps on the bottom. Any slender item placed in them (a package of frozen peas or corn, for example) slips right through and falls to the fall. Really stupid design.
