Average, but at least food is cold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this "American made" refrigerator because it fit into the space I had in my kitchen for a refrigerator. It's that simple. So far it works. It is bright inside. Plastic bins feel flimsy and are small. Freezer Door storage badly planned. Things fall through the large space at the bottom. It seems if I move the refrigerator shelves so the top shelf will take a 2 liter bottle, then I have very little space on shelves below that. Cannot adjust a half shelf, must adjust the full width. I just pray it will last more than just a few years, which is what the installer told me to hope for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good and not so good things about this appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought in July. Cannot get it to cool water, tea, and soft drinks to a cold enough temp. All research says temp inside fridge should be 37, 38 degrees. Cannot get to cool below 40, unless turned to coldest setting. Then other foods freeze.

Very good refrigerator

Took many months to get the original refrigerator, and when it arrived it have a huge dent in the freezer door right out of the box. So it was taken back. Took a few more months to get a replacement, and it has a 6" diameter area caved in on the freezer door in the same place as the original refrigerator. It seems to work well, but am having trouble getting the correct temperature set in the freezer and refrigerator. Have it set a full notch above recommended setting to get it cold enough in one place, but can't get it cold enough in both places at the same time. Using a special thermometer for just that purpose. Would rather have shelves in refrigerator extend out more and shelves in door to not extend out as much. Very hard on a bad back trying to reach inside to get stuff even on the front of the shelves.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the refrigerator works fine with no issues, the freezer shelf pulls out of the brackets connected to the wall enough to let the shelf bend. We had the new refrigerator looked at by a repair person and whirlpool decided to replace it. The new one has the same issue. Seems to be a design flaw.
