Met most of my expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like having a bigger refrigerator. The inside-the-door storage holds so much more and so does the freezer. In spite of its being deeper, I can still see where everything is. A few negatives: The meat/cheese storage drawer is skimpy so I'm using the gallon jug holder to hold cheese, too. The vegetable bins are bigger than they need to be (at least for me). The shelves inside the f freezer door have too wide a gap at the bottom. Why is that?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago and have had to adjust to not having as much shelf space as I had with my old refrigerator. The shelves on the door are shorter and deeper and thus "eat into" the space of the refrigerator shelves. I cannot get as much on the shelves as I am used to. Also the drawer that goes all the way across has continually kept falling out of it track and falls onto the shelf below it. Otherwise I like the black color and the ice maker really does a great job producing ice. My dealer is coming today to check out the drawer problem.

HAS THE "WOW" FACTOR

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is very large and without taking the doors off it made my sliding glass door off the living room by 1". Be sure to measure your enclosure before you consider it. Aesthetically, it is beautiful and mechanically, it is one of the best frig's I've ever owned. The unit provides excellent 0 degrees F internal temperature in the freezer section and 34.4 degrees F internal (measured with an electronic internal probe temperature meter), respectively, at the one setting above factory The unit has a super cool brushed stainless steel look and is one of its high points but beware of fingerprints as you need Dawn or liquid soap and not windex or other commercial cleaners to take them off. The opening door action is silent and super smooth. The glass shelves are a very nice touch, as well as the clear plastic center drawer and clear lower plastic drawers with individual humidity settings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this two weeks ago to replace a 35-year-old Whirlpool fridge that died. My choices were limited by size and space, and Whirlpool has always been a reliable choice.
It's a nice-looking appliance, though the fingerprints are already driving me crazy as I search for the perfect stainless steel cleaner. The other cons: - it's noisier than my old refrigerator. It's not particularly loud, but I am ever-aware of the "hum" - the freezer doors do not hold many items. Things that I once stored on my door now fall to the floor because there's too much open space. Basically the only there now there are frozen vegetables which means there is less space in the rest of the freezer for other items. - there's a similar space at the back of the shelf, and I would have preferred a wire shelf without an edge lip which also takes up space. - I bought the optional ice maker which works well, but the tray is so ridiculously cheap. - the light in the refrigerator takes up way too much room!
The pros: - it's good looking, and there's enough nickel content that it still holds magnets (not important to some, but I like a few) - the door shelves are so simple to adjust, and I've switched them several times until Igot them to my liking. - the glass shelves are also easy to adjust. - the sliding bin is great! - I love that I can see what is in the humidity-controlled bins without having to open them.
After two weeks, all in all, I'm satisfied with my purchase, but had I not been limited by space, I would have chosen differently.

High pitched whine when cooling
on December 4, 2019

We bought the first refrigerator of this model in 2014 and liked it a lot. Unfortunately, the sealed system went bad in 2019 and repair costs were too high to repair. Even though the first one didn't last very long, the repairman encouraged us to buy another as they are normally easy to repair. So, we bought another one. We liked the refrigerator but, as soon as it was plugged in and began cooling, there was a high pitched squeal that was very annoying and could be heard fairly far away. We had a serviceman check it out and he said "that's typical and you'll get used to it". After three months we were not used to it so had another serviceman look at. He said it was just the noise of the coolant running through the system and there was nothing he could do to reduce the squeal. The refrigerator is very functional but, if you buy one, be prepared for some very annoying noise.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The door shelves in the freezer don't hold items they fall through to the floor, I have had to tape cardbord to them to get my frozen stuff to stay on. I prefer my milk on a shelf not in the door and since the shelves are all one and not split to move like my old one I loose a lot of space to get my milk, and gallon picture on the bottom shelf
