Freezer temperature controller in wrong location, and OTHER

COMMENTARY / FEEDBACK to the Whirlpool 21.3 c.f. Refrigerator / Top-Mount Freezer Unit:(1) It is stupid to locate the temperature controller of the Whirlpool 21.3 c.f. Refrigerator / Freezer Unit in the rear of the Freezer compartment. It belongs in the Refrigerator compartment and to be easily accessible.(2) Because the freezer and refrigerator doors' shelvings are open at the bottoms, items slide out of them. Examples: (2A) bags of frozen vegetables in the freezer slide out to the floor; (2B) The two banana trees in the refrigerator fall to the floor upon opening the door.(3) when the Freezer was loaded with items, the temperature in the refrigerator section has been recorded next morning to be 22 degrees Fahrenheit (F). The low temperature froze: milk, cheese, vegetables, and fruits--all became worthless afterwards.(4) The bottom two drawers in the refrigerator section ride on wheels--which are difficult to use, and the fixture is designed to fail early.(5) The rear-located Freezer temperature controller is almost inaccessible to use.(6) when the refrigerator was loaded with many foods containers, the next morning at 9:30 A.M., upon opening the refrigerator door, there came an awful smell ! Upon reading my thermometer, it showed the temperature then to be 46 º F. Thus, this Whirlpool unit does not automatically regulate temperatures, nor properly circulate air. Then, the I manually set the refrigerator temperature at its maximum-cold setting. The compressor stopped working when the temperature reached 43 º F. The compressor re-started at 42 º F.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent fridge

It keeps all our foods incredibly cold and fresh. This is the first whirlpool item I've owned and I am so happy with the product I'm now looking into buying of their products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new refrigerator. My other refrigerator was dying, it was 16 years old. It was time to get a new refrigerator. I did my research, I had limited space and I wanted a stainless steel appliance (although you can see fingerprints--not a big deal). This refrigerator is working out fine. I love the extra interior space and LED lighting and it really LOOKS beautiful! I read somewhere that magnets would not adhere to stainless steel. Not true, all of my refrigerator magnets transferred fine, they haven't fallen off.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It fit in the space we had perfectly with being ample, but not overly large. We love the light in the freezer. One thing we wish we could add would be the ability to adjust the shelving as half shelves, so we could utilize the space on the right and left more to our individual needs. Freezes ice/frozen foods very quickly. Wish new ice trays had been included. Am wondering why many companies do not do this anymore?

I just bought this and it is so loud and to get it cool enough I have to turn it higher than recommend. The door hands came with no hole plugs.I thought it came with a ice maker but it read comes with easy connect ice maker(the connection not the ice maker)
