Initial Setup Experience

Just setup and started printing last night. The ink loading is easy to do. The setup via CD on my Windows 10 laptop stopped before updating the printer firmware which I completed after contacting printer to laptop cable at the Epson website. After that the laptop tried to keep reading the CD and never ends. Eventually I had to force it to stop and removed the CD. So far printing is ok. Will try wireless printing next.

Bad printer !!

If I could give this a zero stars I would . Nothing but issues since I bought it . Will not buy this again . The absolute worst printer I ever owned. Currently looking for a more reliable brand and printer . Steer clear of this printer . Waste of money and time. Had to have it repaired too many times only for the same issues to stay persistent

ET-2800 Is Wonderful

Printer was delivered today and it is amazing. It was so easy to set up with the downloaded app to my phone and walked me right through setting it up. The setup on my computer was just as easy. The printer is lightweight and takes up very little room. I love the printer window. Hopefully, the ink windows will be easy to read. My 2700 was not easy to see when it needed ink.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is my 3rd echo printer within 2 years, and the black ink tank stopped working on all of them. I think i will try Cannon echo printers next.

Manual duplex is impractical due to driver behavior and feed

I wanted to like this printer because the EcoTank ink system is genuinely economical, but the manual duplex experience makes this model frustrating to use in real life, especially on macOS.
This printer does not support automatic duplex, and manual duplex is advertised as a workaround, but in practice it’s nearly unusable. The driver behavior and paper feed order are inconsistent and poorly explained. When printing odd pages first and then even pages, the printer outputs pages in reverse order, causing backsides to land on the wrong sheets unless you manually reverse page order every single time and babysit the process.
On macOS, the Epson software adds more confusion by restarting or reordering jobs unexpectedly if the laptop sleeps or the app refreshes. A single interruption can ruin an entire print job. This is not user error, it’s a design limitation combined with unclear driver behavior.
If you only ever print single-sided documents, this may be fine. But if you expect to print multi-page documents double-sided, even manually, this printer will waste paper, time, and patience.
Bottom line: Cheap ink doesn’t matter if basic document printing is this cumbersome.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
