ULTIMATE workstation, maximum efficiency

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had every iteration of the monitor experience from the humble beginnings of CRT, the 15" flat panel, to dual then triple screens. Then the leap forward happened as manufactures started making wide monitors with the idea of replacing multiple panels which I held off on for the longest time feeling that individual monitors still maximized the benefit. Then I started with a 32" wide and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and now I have arrived at the pinnacle of screen technology. First, the absolute massive size of this widescreen allows for three full size screens up at a time. I usually split this between work, web browsing and media consumption as exemplified in my photo. I can simultaneously multitask or more realistically, procrastinate without taking my eyes off any one aspect of the screen. The single screen allows you to change the dimensions of each window to maximize the experience, for example I could make the video screen take of 2/3 of the monitor while keeping my eye on emails or my work. As you can see, I have my monitor connected via HDMI to my laptop for a seamless desktop experience. The monitor detects the connection without problem but whats great is that I could also remotely connect and use samsung dex to connect my phone as well. Now what sets this monitor apart from other brands? Of course, the Samsung ecosystem. This monitor integrates into Samsung smart things. I get a notification on my monitor when my laundry is done, when my fridge door is ajar, where my smart tags are located. Talk about creating an ecosystem, Samsung knocked this out of the park. Now lets talk gaming, at 240hz, there is no appreciable lag at all. The curved screen makes you feel enveloped in the experience and the colors feel super vibrant. I love the included remote control, you have all the functions of a smart TV as well being able to stream all your favorite apps. The speaker is better than monitor quality but not as good as TV quality but paired with a blue-tooth speaker and it feels absolutely perfect. This has replaced the need to have a TV! The design is beautiful and is not an eyesore, it looks super modern and futuristic. This has been one of my favorite purchases and has pushed me further into the glorious future of technology.

When only the best will do, go Samsung Odyssey G9!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All in all, this Samsung Odyssey G9 49" monitor is the most incredible display I've ever sat in front of. Replacing my existing 38" monitor, which felt big already gave me a whole new perspective on what ultra-wide displays can deliver.
Whether you are a gamer or are looking for efficiency, this checks all the boxes.
On the gaming front this monitor has an incredible 5120x1440 resolution that creates incredibly immersive gaming experiences. Racing games are incredible on this display and really give you the feeling of looking out the windshield when in first person mode. FPS & RTS games are awesome on this display and the 240hz refresh rate means you won't drop a single frame, making sure you always have a competitive edge.
When alt-tabbing out to some office work, there is real estate for days. Email, web browsing, messaging clients and more can be spread out any way you would like with space left over.
Not having a multiple monitor setup with a gap in between the two displays (right at the center of your vision) makes this a dream to use day to day. Your eyes stay focused where they should be, facing forward instead of always slightly left or slightly right.
If you want the best, and you probably deserve it, the Samsung Odyssey G9 is the monitor for you. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Was sceptical, but overall super impressed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really impressed with this extremely large monitor. Colors seem to pop off the screen. I was unsure of the curve but it fills your field of view perfectly and leaves you tons of room for whatever you are doing. The best feature by far was is it's OS pretty much making it just like my Samsung Frame TV. With a similar operation i can watch what i want with our with our the PC on. The one downside was i did have to turn it on via the remote or power at times when the PC turned off/went to sleep but no big deal. I think it has to do with the screen protection being an OLED screen. I've had monitors in the past with burn in and it stinks if it happens. Overall a solid choice. Looks better then the multiple monitors we had. Little to no complaints otherwise.

The Perfect Wide Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've experimented with a few different monitor setups. I even have another 49 inch curved monitor. But this one blows them all away. I attribute this mostly to the 240 hz refresh rate and the 1800R curve as far as gaming experience goes. The graphics are liquid, and the experience is so immersive. I've noticed no ghosting or frame skipping. For my particular use case as part of a sim build, I noticed the difference right away. Before, I felt there was a disconnect with my previous monitor. I tried using VR, which was great, but the graphics and reliability are just not there yet. When I tried first person with this monitor, it felt a lot closer to the VR without a lot of the drawbacks. I was very surprised at how much my sense of speed improved too. The wideness of the monitor as well as the curve fills my peripherals, and made the experience that much more engaging.
Since my main focus was to use this as a gaming monitor. I overlooked some of its other features. I love that it has a remote and essentially can act as a smart TV and connect to your other "SmartThings" compatible products. The interface is so much nicer and complete than any monitor I've had before.
I could really see this monitor replacing my work setup too. It's essentially 3 27" screens already except without the bezels. And the curve makes much more sense compared to my 1100R screen.
I've had this product for a couple weeks now, and overall it's probably the most satisfying tech purchase I've made in the past year. Highly recommend!

A dream come true

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently picked up the Samsung 49-inch OLED ultrawide monitor, and I must say, it's an absolute keeper, and fits my needs for both for work and play.
The sheer amount of screen space is one of my favorite features. With a ultrawide setup, I can have multiple windows open simultaneously without feeling cramped. Whether working with documents, browsing the web, or using creative software, everything feels less cluttered. It’s like having two monitors seamlessly merged into one.
The 240Hz refresh rate works well, if you have a computer that can push those higher rates. Games end up being buttery smooth. I’m really liking FPS games with the quick response rate. This is my dream setup, which is further enhanced by how well it works for my WFH setup. I can easily run multiple apps side by side, without having the middle blank space you would have with two monitors. I primarily use office products and drafting software. The screen size is perfect for those big and complex spreadsheets. The Picture-by-Picture (PBP) allow me to split the screen into different zones, which is a lifesaver for productivity.
The OLED technology truly shines with incredible picture quality. The deep blacks and rich contrast are perfect for both work and entertainment. Watching movies or working on detailed visual projects feels immersive, thanks to the superior color accuracy and contrast.
In conclusion, the Samsung 49-inch OLED ultrawide monitor is a perfect blend of performance, aesthetics, and functionality.
