Control button disintegrated and fell off

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the Samsung 49" Odyssey OLED G9 (G91SD on May 31 2025. I have been extremely pleased with the performance of this monitor. Excellent blacks and contrast. It has vibrant colors and the 144 hz refresh rate I wanted. The response is quick for gaming and the picture is nice and sharp.
However, after owning this for less than 1 year, the control button on the back disintegrated and fell off, leaving no way to control the monitor. Very shoddy design or quality control in my opinion. I have not yet tried to have it repaired due to the inconvenience that would cause.
I will certainly think twice before buying a Samsung monitor in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

One annoying thing is switching between computers using multiple inputs hdmi and dp you have to switch to them manually. Meaning if I shut down my work computer I have to manually change the input for my personal computer to pick it up. The other monitors I have connected switch automatically

The OLED gave me the deepest in blacks in great contrast to the bright colors, while the ultra wide screen gives me a view of the battlefield never previously thought possible. The high refresh rate of 144hz keeps everything looking smooth and responsive and the monitor itself looks stylish and modern. This monitor overall is a huge value to PC gamers and PC enthusiasts who want large real estate, performance and quality and don't want to sacrifice on any of it
