This was installed 2 days before Christmas and I was really nervous. I was cooking for 8 and had pies and breads and a buffalo prime rib to prepare and had no idea how it would perform. Everything was perfect.

Off to a bad start!

Just installed and not even used once and it began making a knocking noise behind the control panel as soon as it was it was plugged in. Dealer (and a great one) immediately scheduled a service call. I'll post again once the GE Service comes, but this doesn't instill a lot of confidence in an expensive microwave/oven combination! And this is suppose to be GE's top of the line appliances.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fast and efficient

Enjoy the microwave speed cook feature and love the efficiency. The oven racks glide so smoothly! Only negative is that it takes so long to preheat.

Fit the space

Front panel not readable without a light on in the kitchen.
Also, I can't reach the back of microwave to wipe down, which really isn't so bad because my husband has to do it!

GE Profile Ovens

We bought this appliance in part because of online reviews and in part because we have owned other GE Profile appliances and they have worked very well. We have only use this appliance a couple of days however, so far so good! the other reviews speak for themselves as to how wonderful this micro/oven works! Plus my wife is short (5'1) and now the microwave is so very easy to reach! would purchase again for sure. It is the crowning glory of the kitchen.
