Rattling microwave

We purchased this product after the previous GE microwave wall oven became inoperative (after 5 years). Fixing the oven was prohibitive. So we purchased a GE replacement . Unfortunately for us the new microwave had a horrible noise when it was operating. The repair person that GE recommended had bad ratings. But that did not matter because he went on vacation and never called us back. The next repair men thought that the fans was the problem. We are now waiting for the parts to arrive. All of this began 5 days after it was installed.
We have in the past thought that GE had dependable products. We now think that is no longer true.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Super Nice Oven

I had some front-end issues that GE was very good about resolving for me, and I give them credit for doing so. As for the oven itself, it is an overall very slick package. It takes a bit to get used to all the functionality along with the rotating dial interface, but is a HUGE improvement over the 2013 GE Profile Combo Microwave/Convention oven in my home it replaces. The new model is completely all-new, different, and much better. The 2013 only had an ordinary plastic lined micro while the new one is all SST with the far-superior three-tiered Advantium cooking. There is no comparison between the two. The new oven has a much more sophisticated and robust shelving system. And as saidd previously, the dial interface is pretty cool and highly functional. It took a bit to get past my aforementioned problems, but because GE was so supportive, I am keeping this a 5-star rating.
