Most amazing appliance

We truly love the latest technology in our GE Profile Advantium oven. It does a superb job and we especially appreciate the Speed Cook feature. We were a little concerned about the dial and selecting from the extensive list of items to prepare, however, it was very intuitive and easy to use. Plus it looks gorgeous in our kitchen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Smart Microwave combo

I love the chicken grill, I made Tandoori Chicken, came up pretty good. I did fish fry , teriyaki chicken, Franch Toast and many more. I love this one, with pre selected menu, those all came pretty good.

Great Features, Clumsy Controls

We replaced our 11 year-old GE Profile wall oven/microwave with this new Profile Advantium unit. It fit right in without any modifications to the cabinetry.
One of the chief advantages of this new unit is that the upper oven is extremely versatile. It can be used both as a traditional oven with MANY features (including convection) and as a microwave. It has many cooking modes that appear quite useful but we have not yet been able to try them in the two days since it was installed.
One of its disadvantage, and in my view this is major, is its controls. They are HORRENDOUSLY cumbersome. For example, every morning I prepare breakfast for my daughter, which includes oatmeal that cooks for three minutes. On the old unit, which had controls that GE microwaves had used for AT LEAST a quarter-century and that were difficult to improve upon, I had to put the dish in the microwave, close the door, and push the keypad number 3. That was all -- one button and done.
On this new unit, I first must press "Microwave," then "Timed Cook," then spin the dial at 15-seconds per click up to 3 minutes, then click on high level (10), and then press on the wheel to start the cooking. Then the chime is very pleasant but low volume when cooking is done and the volume cannot be increased (the old unit had three levels). And then the fan keeps running after cooking is done (partially drowning out the chime) to "cool the unit," which was confusing the first time.
Note that the task I described above is the type of thing the upper oven will be used for maybe 90% or more of the times it is used for anything. I do not know who designed this interface that makes me perform five separate steps to do what was once accomplished by the press of a single button, but I believe they need to be assigned other duties.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

User interface is the worst I've ever used

This oven and microwave combo looks great - but just try to use it and you will want to pull your hair out strand by strand.
You can't just set a time on it - there's no numeric keypad. You have to navigate deep menus to use basic functions.
And once you find where to set the cook time you can only select 15 second increments.
Sure, you can set your own "recipes" but the stupid selector wheel often "bounces" and will put you in the "delete" menu where you unwittingly delete your entry.
The design is so poor that they had to put a "help" button on it! What!?
It is as if the designers and marketing people for this product have never been within 100 feet of a kitchen. I do product engineering and design for a living (not appliances) and can't even imagine how something like this would get out the door and into production.
We own this combo because it came with a house we purchased. I cannot wait to tear this stuff out and dump it on the curb to be hauled off to the landfill. What a horrible experience from what should be one of the best examples of cooking technology you would expect to find in a modern kitchen.

Free up your countertop--ditch everything else!

We have a miniscule (6' x 12') kitchen that we just completely renovated and we opted for this so that we could eliminate the microwave and toaster over that we previously used. I cannot say enough about how happy we are that we opted for this! It cleans/cooks beautifully--well worth the investment.
