Overpromises and Underdelivers

This is a beautiful appliance, loaded with features. Purchased for a number of reasons, including the hype about the Advantium, and because we did not want a microwave on the countertop. As an oven, the biggest issue is preheating; takes almost 15 minutes to get to temp - 300 to 350 degrees. The microwave is a big disappointment, my 1984 vintage under cabinet microwave does a better job on the normal day to day things you use a microwave for - defrosting and reheating; this microwave does a better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I didn't know if I would like this oven, but after using it I love it. I use the speed cook all the time. I'm so glad I got this model. It's worth the extra money.

Great combination of features. We can Microwave and bake at the same time, or we can bake using both ovens at the same time.

Great ....but

We purchased our oven combination as an upgrade with our builder. They convinced us we would love this set up. The advantium micro/oven has great features. I am just learning all of them. My two complaints are: the door on the microwave should open side to side not up and down. I am 5’2 and when I try to get food out I burn my arms or chest. It is a poor design for removing food. The second complaint is having to change the glass round tray for the metal round tray. If you don’t have a big enough storage space it is a pain to keeping changing. Great features but poor design.
