Fantastic oven

I owned another GE profile before this and thought it was pretty good. That’s why I bought another GE profile oven. This combo oven is even better. I can imagine. I bought it without my wife’s blessing. I know brave. She was hesitant at first but now she doesn’t know how she got home without it. The microwave convection function is something she uses almost daily. It’s good to have her back in the kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Never thought I'd be this excited about an appliance. We got this to replace separate GE appliances for the oven and microwave, and after 13 years, it was time to replace them. The controls are super intuitive, and the microwave is far superior to what it used to be. I reheated a full Pyrex dish of chicken and rice without the chicken popping, and it was evenly heated without drying any of the rice out. Just select casserole and the volume of the dish, and it manages the right power level and time - no more reheat, stick your finger in the middle, mix it up, reheat again, add 30 seconds... just tell it what it is, and you're done. Can't wait to try the Advantium cooking next.

Suggestions for imrovement

I like the oven overall but the tone signaling the end of the cycle needs to be louder. I almost NEVER hear it, even when I am standing right next to it. Also, I wish the tray did not rotate when you use the upper oven as a convection oven. A 9X13 pan fits in there but not if it rotates. The lower oven seems to take longer than normal to preheat.

User interface is the worst I've ever used

This oven and microwave combo looks great - but just try to use it and you will want to pull your hair out strand by strand.
You can't just set a time on it - there's no numeric keypad. You have to navigate deep menus to use basic functions.
And once you find where to set the cook time you can only select 15 second increments.
Sure, you can set your own "recipes" but the stupid selector wheel often "bounces" and will put you in the "delete" menu where you unwittingly delete your entry.
The design is so poor that they had to put a "help" button on it! What!?
It is as if the designers and marketing people for this product have never been within 100 feet of a kitchen. I do product engineering and design for a living (not appliances) and can't even imagine how something like this would get out the door and into production.
We own this combo because it came with a house we purchased. I cannot wait to tear this stuff out and dump it on the curb to be hauled off to the landfill. What a horrible experience from what should be one of the best examples of cooking technology you would expect to find in a modern kitchen.

Advantium combo oven. Combo of junk

The oven is poorly made and the oven door failed on the first use. Dealer said it is not covered under warranty

Sleek modern look

We shopped a long time for this product in the stores and on-line. We were replacing an old oven and micro combination so our options were limited. We saw this one in a showroom and I was taken by the clean lines, the size of the microwave and the easy slideout shelve of the oven. Love it.

The microwave stopped working in less than a year!

The microwave stopped working under a year of having it. Of course the controls are part of the microwave so it is impossible to use the oven. Terrible.

This appliance looks and cook beautifully. The major problem is with the alarm setting volume when the cooking is done.You can barely hear it even when you are in the same room. It also takes a long time to reach the set cooking temperature.
