so I just got my new 2day and opened it up to find a freyed spot on the back panel like in other reviews on this page and its missing the toggle to hang a water bladder, please Mr, if nothing is wrong with a pack don't fix it,(the back panel mesh) I own a urban assault and a pintler and the mesh backing on those seems rugged, on the 2dap its not,
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing Backpack

I’ve bought several Mystery Ranch products and they never disappoint! This 2 day assault pack is no exception. I bought it because I wanted something small than the 3 day assault and this fits the bill. The three way zipper is so convenient and makes packing a breeze, the bladder/laptop sleeve with side pocket is very handy (something not featured it the 3 day assault). I’m currently deployed and it makes moving around with my important items easy as a commander. Please keep up the great work!

I Love the construction and execution. My favorite part is the seemingly bottomless top pocket on the lid. I have a complaint however. There is a rigid portion of the pack at the bottom of the laptop area that digs into the back while carrying. I have not as of yet been able to come up with a fix. Perhaps on a smaller person this would not be an issue. But for me it may be a deal breaker as I cant carry it for long without irritation. I use this a my daily work/ computer bag. I travel extensively for work and must at times live out of a single bag. It does provide enough space for my laptop and gear plus a few days of clothes.

Good EDC

I bought this bag for my EDC and it does well. It's not heavy but still has superior materials and build quality. I have used it hiking twice. On one of those events, my 2 year old hurt his leg when he fell and he didn't want to walk anymore. I am using hiking lightly. There is a flatish spot we let the little ones walk around. since him walking was no longer an option, I had to dump my gear, or aleast secure it with paracord to the outside using the webbing. I put my todler in the back and left the middle zipper open with 2 retaining straps secured to hold him in for the mile-ish walk back. I love it, my wife loves it, and now I have a toddler that tries to play hide and seek in it.

Perfect Size for my EDC needs!

I've always carried an EDC bag in this size but last year I'd gone to lugging to much stuff around so to break myself of that I bought a Street Fighter and carried it for a year. It really helped me learn what I needed and what I didnt. I'd been on the prowl for a new bag and the 2DAP fits the bill perfectly. Charging brick, meds, electrolyte powder, change of clothes essentials, spare mags, knife, small dry bag, keys, pens, spare holster is my basic loadout. Well without being too clunky all that fits with plenty of room to spare for a quick day trip, a full change of clothes to go to the gym, my supplements, and Ice Shaker bottle. I had a Multicam Stick-it that I attached and use often. It makes it super easy to have additional exterior storage for a pair of shoes or jacket/hoodie if you're expecting the weather to change. I'm very pleased and my Dad has already bought one. Thanks for making a great EDC bag at a reasonable price. The one thing I would like to have on the bag that doesn't come standard is loop velcro sewn onto the front of the hydration/laptop sleeve pouch so that I could use that for further securing things inside the bag.

This bag is just super intuitive to use and great for traveling. The Trizip makes accessing items in the main compartment fast and easy. The materials feel very robust and long lasting. The way the bag is engineered it feels like it keeps the weight close to your body instead of just hanging off it. The pockets just make sense to you when you start to use the bag, it’s just the right amount of options. Great pack and I have already recommended it to a colleague.

Fits my needs perfectly

Had this pack for about a month now. I needed a pack for daily motorcycle riding that could carry my food, spare change of clothes, binders, folders etc. It fits very well and seems to have a low overall footprint and profile. Probably due to minimal separate compartments and saving the room for one big storage compartment.

Smaller brother of 3DAP + EDC features

I love most features of this pack - has lightly padded laptop pocket WITH quick access from the side (great design, love to see TSA's reaction), plenty of internal pockets, easy adjustment, and new yoke & frame design.
What's not my fav - MOLLE everywhere...considering this is supposed to be an EDC urban pack, not sure why MR added so many MOLLE??? I'd think the daisy chain from old gen 3DAP would suffice...but that's just me.
This pack is a lot lighter than 3DAP and just a little smaller. Good size for EDC and also for the overnight travel. Fits perfectly under the economy class seat as well.
I think MR nailed this, I have ASAP and 3DAP, now with addition of 2DAP I have something for every occasions.
