Bought this a month, ago and have used everyday since. Have been all over Central America with it, wanted one bag that would fit my entire life for the next 4 months in it and also pass through budget airline carry-on rules. This is it. No problems with the stitching or build of bag, carries clothes, IPad, toiletries, small necessities. Water resistant and very durable (thrown on top of busses constantly, on ground to sleep on, tied down). If you can pack light and want a bag that can do it all, I highly recommend.

I am active duty military and needed a bag that can haul everything from a laptop, to paperwork, to my gym clothes on a daily basis. I previously had the 3-day assault pack, and it was great while I was deployed, but was a little too big for work here stateside in an office setting. When I saw Mystery Ranch offered a 2-day assault I ordered it before I even finished reading the description.
I knew exactly what this bag would be, my old bag - just slightly smaller...and it has proven to be exactly that. This bag fits perfectly in my back seat, holds my lunch, a laptop, books and papers, my gym clothes and shoes and a towel and I have room to spare. My Yeti coffee goes in one drink holder and my Nalgene water bottle in the other. The quality of construction is superior to any normal backpack and I can legitimately seeing this be the last back I need to buy.
The only features I don't really like are the long cross chest strap and the little waist strap. They get in the way, and honestly they are not useful on a bag this size - it isn't a ruck - and they tend to be a pain in the butt when they get hung up in overhead bins or just flopping around. I tuck them away as best as I can, but will probably end up cutting them off. There - that is my biggest gripe (and it is nothing).
This bag isn't special or new - it's exactly like the legendary 3-day assault, but smaller. Thank you Mystery Ranch for listening to folks like me that asked for exactly this - you have a customer for life.

Let's be honest all products by MR are 5 stars great packs I have the 3 day assault as well for about 7 years now use it literally every day. Infact it fell out of the helicopter the other day at 2k feet lol tracked it down it was fine lol

I purchased this pack a little over a month ago and have used it every day. It hold an unreal amount of gear comfortably. the interior sleeves and pockets are awesome for holding all of your small items, and jackets. The zipper pockets on the lid fit a crazy amount of items as well. I am able to fit 3 note pads, some food, phone, keys, wallet, calculator, knives, flashlight and a few other randoms odds and ends that I carry on a daily basis with a ton of room to spare in the lid alone. the construction is super beefy and feels great. i also have a Mystery Ranch Bop that is used as my first aid pouch attached to the outside of the pack with the molle webbing, like a match made in heaven. the outside water bottle pockets hold a hydroflask or nalgene bottle without even trying, and very securely at that. The adjustability of the shoulder straps and back panel of the pack are amazing. I would be surprised if there was somebody that couldn't find a way to make this pack comfortable. all together this is a totally killer bag, and well worth the price.

I bought the 2 day assault bag as a carry on bag after finding my old laptop bag lacking. The features that I love: the laptop access zipper, the cinch straps, the top zipper pockets and the fact that it has a removable waist belt. It also within the US domestic airline carry on size limits

Great pack, I have been looking for a pack that would cover my needs for 2 to 3 day trips. I travel frequently I needed something that I could carry all my gear in without having to check a bag at the airport. The two day assault pack has been perfect.
