Picked up this bag recently for long day hikes and travel. This is my first Mystery Ranch bag and so far I’m liking the 3 zipper design and MOLLE webbing. The adjustable harness is also a huge plus and sets this bag apart from some other daypacks I’ve owned. My height is approx 6’1” and I went with the L/XL size. Would be awesome if the pack was a few liters larger but understand it’s supposed to be a scaled down version of the 3 DAP. Material feels tough, and no complaints on quality/construction.

I bought this bag to replace a Maxpedition Falcon II bag that was just plain worn out after 4 years of use in a military environment.
There are plenty of small pockets for those small things you like to keep accessible. The 2DAP also has a removable plastic frame so you can load it up and not have stuff digging into your back. The ability to adjust the yoke height is nice for a personalized fit. Obviously the zipper configuration means it’s easier to get stuff out of the main compartment without having to yardsale your stuff. Great fit and finish, I didn’t even notice any loose strings or misaligned stitching.
The only complaint I have is that I wish the cinch straps would come off completely, they’re stitched onto the bag and they’re unnecessary for me.

I bought this pack mainly as my city EDC for classes and general use. I was a little skeptical about the MOLLE webbing, and concerned about the size being a little too big. Has worked out really well for carrying laptop, chargers, glasses, notebooks, rain jacket and other needed stuff. Have had several compliments on it from people who wanted to know who/what Mystery Ranch is!
