I have been an E-Bike owner for over 3 years and a general cyclist for many, many years. I currently own 4 bikes. I bought this Blutron to use for short trips and was attracted by the size and fold ability of the bike. It is about 20 lbs lighter then my full size E-Bike. The first thing I noticed was that it has the feel of a stationary bike. The handle bars are configured in a "T" shape and cannot be adjusted. This causes the steering to be a little wobbly at times when you are peddling with the motor engaged. The second thing I did not like was the throttle on the right hand, handlebar is very soft, meaning if you have you hand on the throttle and go over a bump, it is easy to accidently pull the throttle fully open and the bike literally comes out from under you, almost like doing a wheelie. I do not feel safe on this bike and think a person could injure themselves quite easily.
I just got this today it goes super fast i really liked the design and it was very fun for me, family, and friends to ride we enjoyed a nice cruise on a hot spring day and i really suggest this bike to whatever buyers are trying to get this. From the speed it was going i recommend wearing a helmet considering it was going about 30 km but plus the pedaling i would say it was going about 35 to 41 km which is a crazy speed for a ebike and i guess it depends how fast your pedaling. I'm really just writing this review because i really liked it i mostly don't write reviews on stuff i get but because i was so impressed i couldn't resist not writing a review. again if anybody is off about buying this don't think twice i would buy this multiple times because of how good it was. best buy is also a trusty website to buy stuff so another reason i wouldn't resist buying it especially off best buy don't buy it on something like craigslist because their refurbished but that's it defiantly buy this, this is a 5 star item.
Only had this for several days. Been riding it daily and has decent speed. Some things to note for potenial buyers:
There was no weight limit listed on this site at the time of purchase. I have read online it can support up to around 250 lbs. I am over 180 lbs and it supports me fine.
To turn on the headlight, hold down the button under the battery level indicator.
Got this yesterday and was able to test it out in my very hilly neighbourhood. First of all the bike is very clean looking! However after the first ride I noticed the colour bar for the seat, colour was already wearing not sure if I didn’t tighten the seat enough. Also one screw for folding the mud guard fastener seem to only go in at an angle. Everything was easy enough to assemble without the manual other than the mud guard faster that took me a minute of looking at pictures to see what I do with it. You would need a screwdriver for the bell and reflector on the handlebar as they come not secured tightly in place
One thing I’m uncertain of is the 7 gears as per description, I only see one. But from a person that never rode an e-bike this was an easy transition. I have to truly test the speed somewhere safe but it is faster than expected so I want to get a helmet before testing to be safe. Battery seems decent as mentioned I tested this mostly up and down hill I didn’t pedal uphill at all as this is why I got the bike and after 30 mins of testing only used 1 cell of the battery. But I don’t know if I had it charged fully. I do wish it actually showed percentage or have something to indicate when fully charged as I’m afraid of overcharging it. FYI battery is built in. I got this on sale so figure it was worth trying.
Just got mine and only a short ride so far. I am very impressed with the quality of the bike and it feels very sturdy. Range test later today and will update. Cheers.
