The original battery on my UPS died (had a leak, even), so i ordered this replacement and i was impressed: it came very well boxed, was extremely easy to install, and worked flawlessly since i put it in place. Having instructions (and re-using packaging) for the old battery is a great touch, too. :)
If only everything in life was that easy and efficient...

Replacement Battery

Replacement of battery for my BX1300LCD was an easy procedure -- from ordering to installation and return of spent battery. Grateful for APC advice that battery repacement is an effortless "hot swap".

I have had many problems of power surges. My computer would crash. This battery has save my computer along with a lot of work that I was doing when the computer crashed.
I order it, deliverery was quick-I recommend this for all home computers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy installation

Battery arrived promptly and installation was very easy. I was surprised that there was no return label for the old battery. For some reason I thought that was what I was getting. But perhaps not. I will have to find a way to recycle it myself I guess.

Disposal Misleading

Though the website indicated you could return the spent battery via prepaid return, this was not the case. There was a flyer in the box indicating I should take to a local battery disposal facility and I should check out http://www.apc.com/contact/index.cfm. That page does not exist and I am left wondering where to take the spent battery. New battery worked fine though but suggest that APC update their site to eliminate the misleading disposal procedures.

Smooth transition

Very smooth battery change process. After a power outage I received a pop-up message that my battery life was down to 5 minutes. I ordered a new battery online, it arrived VERY quickly and I swapped it out with no problems. I didn't see the checkbox in the software to "re-set" the battery life indicator but once I did, all was fine. I love the APC peace of mind!
