I installed this unit to protect my dishwasher electronics. We had a power glitch several years ago and lost the programming board. Cost about $200 to get the dishwasher functional. It is a "built-in" and would be difficult/expensive to install a newer model. I consider this inexpensive insurance. Will provide an update as events warrant. Appears to be well built.
