I put them on our washer, microwave, and refrigerator so far. These are heavy duty, high quality devices that look good and have a great warranty. The only thing I experienced was they are a little to thick to fit in some applications.

In the time we have had the triplite surge protector, the problems we were having with one of our outlets causing various small appliances to act up (displays blinking, going blank, just strange things). It wasn't just with one small applicance, it was with any small applicance I plugged into that outlet. I decided to try the triplite surge protector as a possible cause to the problem. It must have been because as soon as I plugged the triplite into the outlet and secured the triplite, I haven't had he problem since with any of my small applicances.

The front facing receptacle coupled with the thickness of the unit means that any cord plug then protrudes from the wall about four inches. This distance is too great when using behind standing appliances or behind furniture. Put the outlets on the side of the case.

This is my second Triplite product based on independent reviews. It's very industrial looking and has two green LEDs that glow continuously....noticeable in a dark room. I wanted a compact surge arrest device. Most surge power bars have 6' of cord or more which for me just gets in the way. As with all of these devices you'd have to be looking at it during a surge event to see it working.

I purchased 3 of these. Had problem with wiring with one of them--called & they replaced no problem. They stand behind their products. These are very well made & are solid. I have no doubt they will last a long time.

Samsung sent out a repair technician to fix our TV under a court ordered warranty issue. The Repairman said our resistors were bulging due to to fluctuations in current feeding our TV, most likely from minor drops/surges in voltage when people in the neighborhood cycle their A/C units, etc... He strongly recommended buying the Tripp-lite suppressors. So we bought three of these dual outlet jobs, along with a couple of 4 and 6 outlet models and have all of our valuable electronics plugged into them. We've had them in place for the last three years with no problems.

This is our third Tripp-Lite device and it meets the need of providing high quality protection at a reasonable price. Sometimes the multi-outlet units are needed for media or computer centers, but this simply two outlet unit was perfect for our high end Roland electronic piano. As an electrical engineer, I love the design and focus on protection, unlike the cheaper surge protectors that are sold everywhere. The lifetime guarantee speaks to the quality and confidence the engineers have in their design. It's worth the little extra you pay to have the best insurance in the business.
