I'll be honest, I was leery about something of such a small size being able to hold up to the extreme power fluctuations we suffer through in our area. Usually we have at least a handful of 'flickers' in the power that is enough to cause our 3D printers to fail mid-print. However, after installing 4 of these surge protectors we haven't had a single loss of product. The protector absorbs even the largest of surges and/or sudden power fluctuations. The printers don't even notice the interruption now and are able to print continuously. This has saved us from dozens of failed prints, which would have otherwise cost us a lot of money in wasted time and material. I highly recommend this product!

I wanted a well built surge suppressor, from a reputable company ... Tripp Lite seems to have delivered. It is a very sturdy metal boxed unit that installs/mounts well (including an optional "strap" mount that mechanically stabilizes the unit - although it is really built for dual socket outlet mounting (single outlets need to be modified)). Over time we will see how well it suppresses ... but it seems like a great investment at the moment.

Tiring of cheaper alternatives that didn't last, I went with these for individual appliances, etc. to supplement the whole-house surge unit in our electrical panel. Though rather large, they seem high quality. Time will tell how well they work and if the warranty is good.

Electrically, the unit works perfectly. Fault lite does, in fact, indicate issues with supply. Unit is very durably built - feels very solid and well-thought out. Looks like some old-school engineering kit. The mounting tab kit, however, is another story -- trying to get it to work cracked a wall plate and didn't leave me feeling that the unit was "secure" (in my case, hanging behind my refrigerator). Perhaps some pictures illustrating suggested mounting approaches would help...

We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced mounting your ISOBLOCK2-0. When securing to the wall plate, assuming a vertical wall plate, you would plug this into the lower outlet with the rubber bumper against the wall. Using the sliding tab, make adjustments to the tab until it sits flush with the rear of the surge suppressor. Secure the position of the tab with the included screw. With the wall plate screw removed, secure the tab to the wall plate. Make sure the mounting tab is flush with the rear of the surge suppressor. Tighten the screw until the unit is secure, but do not over-tighten. This could potentially damage the wall plate.
