Best Headphones I've Owned

I purchased the black version of the Sony WF-1000xm4 after having struggled with other brands of truly wireless headphones. I spent a lot of time researching and comparing models and I am very glad to have chosen these!
These headphones are by far the best I have owned in my life. The sound quality and noise cancelling is incredible! Battery life is amazing as well.
The only gripe I would have is for the memory foam ear tips- I personally prefer silicone for comfort as I found the memory foam a little scratchy over extended use. This is an easy adjustment though, and the memory foam does create a better "seal" for the noise cancelling. Just comes down to your preferences, but this was not at all a dealbreaker for me.
Worth the price, and I'm very pleased overall with these!

Fantastic with a few drawbacks.

These earphones are incredible. Recently switched from AirPod Pros to these. There is a night and day difference. The bass is strong and the ANC is second to none. The app which enables customization of the EQ is brilliant and the touch controls add some ease of use. All in all it’s a solid; but, expensive piece of tech.
It’s not without its drawbacks. Lack of multipoint Bluetooth is a bit of a disappointment. The foam tips aren’t for everyone. You will notice these in your ears no matter what anyone says. They are comfortable but not as comfortable as the AirPod pros. Apple beats on the simplisity of its ecosystem, but if you’re willing to step outside the walled garden, these earphones are truly outstanding in nearly every way.

These buds are pricey, but they are awesome. Great sound, and, unlike many others, the volume is more than high enough, which is key for half deaf people like me!

Doesn't fit in my ears

As other reviewers have mentioned, i tried using an old pair of silicone tips and still could not get the proper fit so these earphones fall out of my ears and sound like a tin can. Add to that bestbuy's policy that I can't return them because they touch your ears. Stuck with a 500 dollar pair of garbage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best noise-cancelling wireless buds

moved from the bose wireless soundport whatever, realized after being in the plane that i have to turn it up to almost max, noise isolation isn't comparable to noise cancelling. These Sony buds have nice bass, clear sound, waterproof, and amazing noise cancelling, very comfortable. A little let down by the mic quality, people often complain they can't hear me well when i'm in a moderately loud environment. The Bose had no issues with that. Use them daily to work out, at work, never had an issue with battery life, comfortable AF. I've had many headphones from over ear professional DJ headphones, jabra in-ear, skullcandy, beats, monster, JBL, Ultrasone... yea. Using V-Moda Crossfade Wireless 2 for my over-ears, I never trusted noise-cancelling tech because it always fd with my sound reproduction quality. These changed my mind. They sound deeper and clearer with the noise cancelling on. Love the capacitive touch. This was not a paid review, I literally love these so much i had to share along with the over 1k reviews on here, so if you're on the fence, get them and your ears will thank you.

Tips for best sound.

I won't bother with telling you all the details everyone one else has written.
I bought these and was super impressed with the clarity, but thought they could use a little bit more punch. Here is what you need to do to get the most out of these earbuds and it makes them easily the best sounding earbuds I have EVER had.
First lookup on YouTube how to enable Bluetooth LDAC codec on your Android phone. You will get the best sound quality this way. If your phone supports LDAC.
Second. If the foam ear tips aren't for you then get some silicone ones. I changed and the comfort is perfect and the seal is excellent.
Third. Make sure your phone EQ is set to normal or neutral. Do not use it. Then use the setup included with Sony software for buttons, noise cancelling and basic EQ.
Fourth. Update your earbuds using Sony app. They have to be connected to your phone as the update is written directly to your earbuds via Bluetooth. Do not interrupt this process. It can take a bit so be patient.
Fifth. Download an app from Google play store called Wavelet. Set EQ in Wavelet app to auto and select your earbuds with base boost or without. Just start typing the model of earbud and it will populate a selection for you to use. It absolutely changes the earbuds sound. Wavelet stays on your phone and will enhance anything it connects to including your vehicle. Use Wavelet app for any earbuds or headphones. Incredible app.
The sound quality you should be getting now should be thru the roof. Plenty of base if needed and can be adjusted down for taste. Clarity is still there. Hope this helps.

Fantastic ear buds

Found the Ambient sound feature super useful going out for walks with the dog. With ambient sound on and you keep your music low enough you could talk to somebody if you're standing next to them, with noise cancellation you cannot hear the person next to you and dampens and outside noise well. The touch feature on the side takes a minute to get used to but is pretty easy, both sides have tap controls for media control, ambient sound/noise cancellation and volume. Connection and calls work well, never had any complaints while walking on the street or through trails. Never had them fall out and are comfortable to wear for hours at a time. The EQ works well for adjusting bass levels for when you need it, the app is easy to use. Sound quality is great, I listen mainly to hip hop and electronic and find these hit the spot. Battery life is great, I haven't had any interruptions because of dead ear buds, charges fast in the case. The case is small and fits nicely in your pocket, magnet on the case doesn't open too easily and the buds and held in with magnets as well.
If you connect it to your computer you need to also connect them to your phone to access the EQ and fix the sound, otherwise it doesn't sound great.
After having these for about 3 weeks my dog found them in my pocket and chewed them to pieces. Luckily no batteries were swallowed. Please help a brother out.
