Terrible warranty policy

These earbuds have a common problem (google it) with the left earbud slowly fading in and out. Sony's RMA policy is for you to box them up using your own materials, shipping it to Ontario, and then waiting 7-10 days for the replacement after they receive the defective unit.
This is backwards. Send me a replacement and then I'll send the defective pair. I would gladly give my credit card number for collateral.
Why should I be inconvienced because their quality control failed? Especially with a highly priced 'premium' product.
Avoid this product. The issue is very common.

Excellent sound with LDAC and ANC, sound without.

With LDAC and ANC on, the sound quality and detail is excellent. But poor sound quality without LDAC and ANC on.
I would NOT buy these if I couldn't use LDAC, because Sony decided not to use AptX anymore, which is the next best choice for Sound quality. If I didn't have either LDAC or AptX HD choices available, I would rather not use earbuds at all, because SQ is the most important for me.
Surprisingly they sound better with ANC on, which happens to lower external noise by about 50%, which is enough for me.
I love how convenient these are being able to skip tracks and control volume without having to pick your phone up. They aren't perfect though, sometimes needing to put the earbuds in and out a few times before the touch controls will work.
Are these better than my $5,000 RME dac/Audeze LCD-3F headphone system? No.
Would I have bought that $5,000 system if I heard how good these earbuds sounded first? No.
So with the excellent detail and convenience, I could happily live with only having these, especially if I hadn't already owned several expensive systems to compare to.
I stream music with Tidal Hifi, and for great movie sound you can buy a good external Bluetooth transmitter with LDAC for under $200 to hook up to the TV.
Then you'll have high quality sound for everything, with very low cost and very minimal equipment.
Sometimes technology is great.

Thought It Was Too Good to be True…..

I’ve had these for about a week now and I’m over the top impressed. Sony truly has mastered the art of an earbud that stays in your ear, looks stylish and provides true noise cancelling. I only hear my music, and the sound quality is impressive. They amplify and pick up things in the music that my old headphones couldn’t. I definitely recommend these and would happily buy them again.

Could not use them, too big and were causing pain

Nice sound, but they are very large not everyone can comfortably use them after two days returned it to the store and got Bose QuietComfort the sound is slightly worse but wearing the is amazing, I can't even feel I have something in my ear when using Bose.

Bought these based on reviews & Sony expectations. Highly disappointed: 1) no difference whatsoever between noise-cancelling and ambient noise modes. No noise cancelling. None. 2) Volume is utterly inadequate, even when raised to maximum, especially for something like classical music. 3) Poor musical performance, especially at low and high end for classical music. Best Buy was willing to issue store credit, and the Sennheiser Momentum 2 are far superior, and much less expensive. I conclude in part that Bluetooth music still isn't up to it. I'll be look at IEM for good music.

Pathetic service and cheats!!!!!

A product was bought from your shop yesterday on 12th May 2022, instead of giving the correct goods, you supplied in the box with 2-AA batteries and a liquid container that contained the weight of the earphones. Your team fooled a customer and they paid for a genuine product while your company sold a fake non-existent product.
After the complaint was made, your team made it seem like the customer is lying while your team is supplying fake goods under the pretense of a genuine product.

Mic quality is no good for zoom or messenger calls

As title states, it is impossible to understand anyone using these headphones for internet calls.
Audio quality is good and anc, but the mic at this price is garbage!

When I first tried them, they were not comfortable. As time passed, they got even more uncomfortable and began hurting my ears, and I have big ears. As for sound, with all this ANC tech, they all sound so quiet. As for someone who used sennheiser hd8 dj headphones, these earphones cannot compete with studio headphones. I have to download a sound booster. As for Bluetooth connection, even after updates, they keep disconnecting and I have a Samsung s21+ so it shouldn't be an issue. Over all, all I like is the design. Everything, needs serious improvement
