Sound is great - but only if I use Comply Medium tips will the performance get close to Sony’s claims!!!
Once you get lucky and succeed pairing to an iPhone 13, NEVER EVER REMOVE BUDS FROM YOUR EARS - WHO KNOWS HOW TO TURN THEM OFF (nor turn them on)!!!!!

I expected more from Sony based on the products I already own. Contrary to initial impression (based on the design), the fit is actually quite nice. Once I got used to them, they are very comfortable in my ears. My main issue is with noise cancellation. I bought these mainly for ANC capability, not for comfort. ANC is very nominal most of the time, and frequently, ANC comes and goes at will. Sony is known for consistent and reliable performance, so I am not sure what is going on. I also own a WH-H900N headphone, and it is a solid performer (better even than Bose in my opinion!).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The earbuds come with 3 different pairs of ear tips, S, M and L. I tried all three sizes, but the earbuds fell out quickly (within around 1-2 minutes of wearing them - I wasn't moving at all). I tried different methods of inserting the earbuds, including widening the ear canal by pulling the ear backwards and twisting them in. At first, they seemed to fit well, but then I could hear them slowly sliding out.
As long as I was holding the earbuds in though, they sounded great. The noise cancellation was amazing as well. I can't use the earbuds though if they always fall out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've tried quite a few earbuds at varying price points and this is by far the overall best. It is a little pricey but rest assured you are paying for pure quality and not just the brand name. 10/10 would buy again.
PROS:
- The ambient sound mode (aka transparency mode etc.) works well, but unlike most other brands this one actually FUNCTIONS WHILE STILL PLAYING your video or music or whatever.
- It legitimately last as long as advertised. Even using the ambient sound mode or active noise cancellation mode the earbuds still last about 6-8 hours. Case itself holds a huge charge so no need to charge it constantly.
- Case is lightweight and fairly durable.
- Sound quality is great. It may not be the very best in earbuds, but is without a doubt within the top 5 in sound quality and the software actually does a very good job of adjusting the sound quality so it sounds great regardless of the environment or sound quality of the video.
- Very intelligent bluetooth connection. Most earbuds I tried its a chore to connect and switch between the earbuds and other bluetooth devices and getting the sound to play on the correct device, but I have never once had that issue with these nor even had to manually switch devices once. Somehow just knows which device I want the sound to play out of and quick switch back to earbuds when I would like.
- This is my personal opinion and preference but the actual earbud cushions are the best I've tried.
- It has a great track/find feature for both the case and earbuds. Great for people like me who are constantly misplacing and forgetting things, especially when its hard to find because it is black.

I thought Jabras were great...until I was in a long-distance relationship and encouraged my partner to get Jabras as well. The microphones constantly picked up background noise to an unbearable degree when we were both using them. So I tried these WF-1000XM4 headphones. The sound quality in how it picks up my speaking voice but minimizes other sounds such as wind/kitchen noises/etc. is superior to Jabra. Unfortunately, they are just huge. I use the smallest earbud covers and those fit my ears, but the bulk of the object overall is so much that I sometimes have the left one fall out.
I also don't know how to fix the problem of the headphones "stealing" the music from Sonos when I'm playing it from my phone and I put the headphones in (say, to answer a phone call...then the music is playing AND the phone call).
