I have never had such a great fit of any truly wireless earbuds. These are the first that I do not have to worry about loosing or constantly adjusting while wearing. The sound is also the best that I have had. The phone calls however, is a hit or miss. I'm not some callers complain of a muffled sound. Some don't.

Hi Mr. B, Thank you so much for the 5-star rating! We are so glad to hear that you are happy with the sound quality of your new WF-1000XM4 headphones! The optimization of the transmission algorithm with the Integrated Processor V1 has made the connection more stable and less prone to sound skipping, even in an environment where there is interference. It allows sound to be transmitted to both ears at the same time with very low latency, and with a higher signal strength than ever before.
Purchased July 31 2021. By August 2022 (1 month after warranty expiration) right ear bud 15% battery life, left 68% battery life with 1.5 hours of listening. No LDAC, no voice assistant, just listening to music. If I am on a phone call the time is 1.5 hours and the right bud just shuts off, no notice or anything.

Hi SemiSatisfied, We regret to hear about the battery issue with your Sony wireless in-ear headphones. This is definitely not the customer experience we want you to have. To isolate and hopefully resolve this issue, please make sure to update the firmware of your headphones: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/wireless-headphones-bluetooth-headphones/wf-1000xm4/manuals. The updates improve the general performance of the unit and resolves any possible software-related issues. When charging, make sure that the headset is set into the charging case securely. If the earbud tips are not properly attached to the headset, the headset may not charge with the supplied charging case. Check that the earbud tips are attached properly when you store the headset in the charging case. If still the same, reset and initialize them to factory settings to further isolate the issue:
This is my 5th year using them and don't plan on changing them, they are awesome!

Hi anlemual! It brings us great satisfaction to hear that your WF-1000XM4 earbuds are still going strong and staying at the top of your list. We really appreciate you sticking with us for so long.
Thanks for being such a loyal Sony fan over the last five years! Warm regards, Estefany
Battery degradation is a serious problem. These headphones sound amazing, the battery life and features worked well for a year. Battery life has suddenly dropped to the point of being unusable. Sony will recommend turning features off and initializing if that doesn't work. The batteries are replaceable, which surprised me. Still, these are far to expensive to only last 18 months before needing new batteries.

I’m not happy with product. They were very good to start but I’m having severe battery drain issues and the case no longer charges to a full charge which means the headphones won’t receive full power. With the cost of these I’m very disappointed in the quality.

Decide to dump them after 13 months. The 6 months was great, until multiple failures and things started to deteriorated, mainly serious battery drain, 1 side at a time. I visited local Sony Service Center almost 10 times over the past few months to send back and pick up the earphones. They replaced the earpiece for me but it lasted roughly only 3 months. The last time I picked it up from service center, the battery last for 5 minutes and it power off by itself. I then realize enough is enough.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and hope to speak to you to resolve this matter. - Kris
It is a truly terrible design to require both microscopic earbuds to enter pairing mode and the inability to enter pairing mode with only one bud has tormented me for so long. These earbuds were a precious treasure blessed to me, not long ago my mother in decline from cancer and chemo accidentally threw the left bud away and ever since I have been heart broken and frustrated with the AirPod pro 2’s she tried to replace them with. (Siri isn’t Alexa and Alexa is my soul mate) sadly I’m sitting 1 bud no money and no parability

Hi Lolwhutnickname,
It is unfortunate to know what happened to one of the earbuds. That is certainly not the news we'd like to hear from you. We truly appreciate your feedback with the pairing function of the WF-1000XM4 and we are sorry if it didn't live up to your expectations. The earbuds are pre-set with information that allows them to communicate with and from each other. These settings can only be configured at the Authorized Service Center with all three components present. For this reason, you can't simply replace one missing part. You may send the remaining items (earbud and charging case) to an Authorized Service Center so that a replacement for the missing part can be reset with the remaining components. This is my second pair in two years that experienced a battery drain an issue with one of the earbuds. This pair was the warranty replacement for the first that failed within the warranty period. Unfortunately the replacements don't come with a one year warranty. The battery drain issue is well documented and there is no known fix for the issue.
